Alright! Sorry for being so absent today! I was building a tool so you can all check your own names on demand.

I am asking that you not talk about it on Hugging Face. I'm sure word will get there eventually, but I'd like to avoid them accessing this as much as possible. Feel absolutely free to spread around Tumblr.

That said, I did pay out of pocket for some of the accounts I've needed to do all this. If I need to, I'm fine with eating that cost, but I am going to ask nicely that if you feel like kicking in toward it, you donate to the Ko-Fi I made specifically for this technical project. I was hoping to get a short-term membership, but I was only able to buy access to host this for a full year lmao. BUT regardless, this is freely available to everyone. Do NOT feel like you need to donate if it'll put you in a bad place or even if you just don't want to. Just figured I'd ask instead of quietly sucking up the $180.

Thanks to everyone who helped with the cost to host the tool! I appreciate you so so so much. As of this edit, I'm at $185 total, and right now, I don't expect to have to pay for anything else to keep this available.

I gave the tool a quick test, but please come yell if it stops working. I'm around; I'll fix as fast as I can. It's slow as hell, but it does load eventually. Give it up to 10 minutes, and if it seems down after that, please alert me via ask! Anons are on.

Now with all that being said, time for me to start focusing on how we stop the next scrape.

Yayyy Hugo headcanon time!!

He’s a bottle blonde, whether it’s cuz his natural hair is brunette or another shade of blonde

Hugo cannot swim at all. Like, my guy was PANICKING during the water trial

He sees Donnie as his mother

Doesn’t like sweet things because he doesn’t have a sugar tolerance after spending so much of his life in poverty (got this from the silent opera)

Unlabeled in terms of sexuality. I feel like he either wouldn’t care or wouldn’t have time to figure out a label for himself and settles for “I’m attracted to the person, not the gender”

Him wearing his hair down around the others is some kind of metaphor for letting his guard down (will die on this hill)

Knew about Varian being the Alchemist before Varian told everyone

This ^^ being said, he also freaked out once he found out/realized because he idolized the Alchemist the way Varian did Flynn Ryder

Sees Nuru as his sister (I LOVE THEIR FRIENDSHIP)

Nuru is his maid of honor at his and Varian’s wedding

Yong is his best man ^^

Dropped a piano on Eugene’s head when they were on a thieving job years ago 😼

I'm sorry but imagine being in the book accurate httyd universe. You and everyone else are experiencing terrible awful horrors and are on the verge of collapse and an entire war and. Everyone just has a stupid name. Armpit never came back from trying to catch a baby dragon and probably got violently torn apart and eaten alive. Dogsballs is shaking after he just witnessed two of his friends get driven off of the cliff they were forced to camp on after their tribe got burnt to the ground to escape slavery. Your friend Crying Bitchless the Gay had to watch his entire family get enslaved and his dragon companion, knowing if he tried to stop it he'll surely die or worse, go with them. Anklebiter Ass-smeller just had to rip twenty people and dragons to shreds with his bare hands to survive at the age of fifteen. You could be named Doodoo Bitch the Brainless and the guy who literally caused the violent deaths of everyone you loved and took away all that made up you could be named like. The Butthole Bruiser

choosing to believe that rapunzel didn’t check on varian because she got hit by the Bad Writing Curse that left her suspended translucently in the air for the three to five months that passed. she was just ghostly and floating in a comatose state with the words BAD WRITING CURSE printed in times new roman font down the length of her body. and then the three to five months were up and she was suddenly rejuvenated. and nobody else checked on him because they were all so worried about her. and then varian learns of the curse and asks “is that what made me make the ‘sweep you off your feet’ joke?” and everybody says some variation of “no, that was just you being a cringey teenager.” and he goes “dang it” and kicks one of his prison bars.

idk, chris sonnenburg. if you didn’t want your character to be adored by the fans, maybe don’t make him such a little goob.

also, maybe don’t make him one of the most compassionate people in the show who only wanted to make positive change for the people he cherished— *i am dragged off of my soapbox*

sometimes a character does include little “heh”s in their dialogue that would feel unnatural not to write (varian) and sometimes a character is so incredibly smirky that to write his smile as anything else would be a lie (hugo)

they all secretly believe they’re the leader, and they’re all wrong.

but most of them listen to varian because it’s like he owns the house they’re having the sleepover at. they do it to give him the illusion of control.

The fact that VARIAN is the leader of Team Radical is so fucking funny to me. You know that clip of The Rock’s character in Jumanji giving some super serious leader talk and then turning around to go “don’t cry don’t cry don’t cry don’t”? That’s Varian

i feel like i’m going crazy— somebody validate my “varian sees andrew in hugo”

just. cocky, pretentious, self-assured, handsome, not that trustworthy (but varian wants to trust him). he lives with this guy for months. (trapped.) there’s an objective that both he and this guy are trying to achieve. varian would risk his life for him (but would he do the same if varian was in danger?) there’s a sense of waiting. (everything is not quite right.)

is he imagining things, reliving memories he hasn’t gotten over, or is history repeating itself? (time is a flat circle.)

look. i’m not saying “fear is the heart of love” is gonna get a follow-up oneshot, because that would be ridiculous. i’m also not saying that you should be on the lookout for “the incision always follows”, because now we’re entering downright ludicrous territory. i’m also not saying that some more comments on the og oneshot would speed up my writing process and motivate me tremendously, as well as warming my little heart. i’m glad we understand each other.
