Have you ever realized the story you’re writing is destined to be absolute trash and then kept writing anyways? Yeah that’s what I’m doing. This au will not be my best work but I do not give a darn. I’m going to ruin my fanfic writing career with a smile on my stupid looking face.

So, this may or may not help, but I hope it does at least a little. 

I know that I personally experience gender dysphoria as well, though I only realized recently when I actually looked up the term and found it to be vaguely similar to how I'm feeling. So, from my view, gender dysphoria is simply the experience of feeling uncomfortable in your current body or uncomfortable with a particular gendered pronoun that you currently use. 

The amount of dysphoria you feel does not invalidate nor validate the fact that you feel it in the first place. 

If you are uncomfortable because of your gender then that is ok and you are free to be uncomfortable and try to do something to lessen that discomfort.

You have my sympathies in regards to the binder.(I also can’t get one myself out of fear of what my family will say) And you have my complete support on your endeavor to understand yourself.

Like Thomas always says, learning more about yourself and changing yourself into the person you want to be is an adventure that could take an entire lifetime.

So take your time and don’t be afraid to really question yourself on this.

It takes a lot of courage and determination to even attempt to understand yourself. (It took me seven years to figure out that I was Asexual and it took me almost ten years to finally realize that I had gender dysphoria and was fluidflux)

So keep on keeping on and remember that you are not alone in this incredible and terrifying journey of finding yourself.
