So Miguel got an apology from Johnny for not being there for him before Robby ever did? K.
I have yet to watch cobra kai season 6 part 3 but I have to ask, is the ending satisfactory? Does it do the main characters justice?
Feel free to give your thoughts in the comments, I don't mind spoilers.
They are such fucking simps.
If yall had actually seen the show.. Zuko doesnโt shy away from pda at all, he actually initiates it most of the time. He always makes it apparent that youโre together and there for him. He can be a jealous fucker too but he can learn to control himself with time like anyone else.
When he was with Mai he pretty much always had his hand on her when they were together. Why would that change with age? No, it only gets better. Now that heโs lightened up some heโs more carefree about pda than ever.
When you go grocery shopping, heโs holding your hand while pushing the cart with the other. When you go out on walks, he has his arm around your waist pulling you close to him. While watching tv together heโll either have his hand resting around your shoulder, or youโll be tangled up together on the couch. Same with laying in bed at night, he will wrap his arms around your waist and rest his head on yours, his chin pressed up against your shoulder. Some nights youโll lay on his chest, legs overlapping, and his hand travels slowly up your shoulder then down to your thigh repeatedly for hours.
Youโre lucky to get him to turn around and have him lay on your chest or be little spoon tho. only if heโs really tired and you so happen to walk in on him taking a nap perhaps, then will he slowly turn towards the light youโve let in and pull his sheets up for you to get in. He makes no effort to turn you around so you slide you hand under his head before he falls back to pillow and pull him on your chest. he puts up no fight, quietly wrapping his arms around your stomach and drifting back to sleep.
Donโt ever do my man zuko and his pda loving self like this again๐ญ
Don't forget this iconic pic form peyton's Instagram
So I hc Tory as a great photographer, and that means:
She took those pictures.
My art style both digitally and traditionally keeps on changing.
I don't even know anymore ๐ชผ.
Have this digital painting of zuko!
I was clearly inspired by @torushiie on Instagram and YouTube!
I hope you find it!
Also, this post gives me chaotic neutral vibes and I am here for it ๐ช
Hi tumblr, when I was five I watched a scene from a movie and I havenโt been able to find it ever since. This is what I remember:
- A man (I assume an adult but could be a teenager) throws rocks at a bedroom window to get a girlโs (I assume a child but could be a teenager) attention.
- The girl goes outside in the middle of the night without informing her parents (this really upset me as a child)
- I think the guy was a clown, although he was not wearing a clown costume during that scene
- I think the clown was working at a circus and thatโs where he met the girl.
I didnโt actually get to see where they went as a commercial break started and my mom turned off the tv, but I always assumed he took the girl to the circus where the witch that heโs secretly working for would use her as a soup ingredient
(the soup part is almost certainly my imagination running wild, the witch probably too, for the clown/circus part Iโd say thereโs a 50/50 chance that itโs an actual plot point).
Does anyone know what movie Iโm talking about?
I don't know what to think about all this and if the SA or anything else in Robby's story will be addressed.
Take Billy's interview. They act like Robby's side of the story doesn't matter. He is inconsequential. It's about Johnny and Miguel. In canon, Robby is framed as wrong and at fault for how Johnny treats him and for having trauma, even though Johnny is the parent and his behavior is immensely traumatic for Robby. Johnny has done nothing to make things right with/for Robby, while Robby is the one who was abused by Johnny while he prioritized his new family and Robby had to put all of his trauma aside to be a part of Johnny's new family, that narratively Robby's still not treated as completely part of.
Take the SA ig reel. They act like Robby's side of the story doesn't matter. He is inconsequential. It's about Tory and Zara. In canon, Robby is framed as the cheating boyfriend who got drunk and "made a mistake" because he "got played", although he was drunk and can't remember what happened while Zara intentionally targeted him, can remember, and doesn't care that he can't. Robby should be focused on as the one who can't catch a break, but he's not.
Take the apartment fight marketing posts calling it a "therapy session". They act like Robby's side of the story doesn't matter. In canon, they only show Miguel's flashbacks and have Robby take all fault too. The marketing was for Miguel's side of the story. (Tanner wasn't there for interviews for s5, but still no one brought up Robby's side.) They act like Robby's side of the story doesn't matter. He is inconsequential. It's about Miguel only, although the school fight was traumatic for Robby too. Robby does admit this in canon, but it was still in service of the apology to Miguel. Not to mention, the apartment fight itself was plain abuse on Robby by Johnny to force him to be friends with Miguel. This was abuse, not therapy.
Even the school fight was framed as if Miguel didn't do anything wrong, his "I'm sorry" instantly made him innocent, and Robby's the one at fault for it all because of the kick and accidental injury. Miguel had done so much to Robby in that fight, but Robby's side is inconsequential. It's all about Miguel. Robby was and is still scapegoated, that is still shown and hinted at (like in the college essay) but it remains unaddressed. I don't have any of the post s2 or post s3 marketing on hand, but no doubt the marketing would not have shown Robby's side of the story.
There's more to address in Robby's story, but you see...
In a way, how they handled the SA isn't isolated because they literally handle Robby's whole story this way. I mean, child abandonment and replacement are even more recognizable as traumas for the child, but people still are taking the parent's side and are happy he replaced his son, and the show has marketing material promoting it.
I know this may be wishful thinking,
But, I hope they don't let her get away with it.
Robby is a victim of rape, zara raped him.
And there is no other way to see it.
It was fucking rape. That's my fucking point of view.
What do you mean he liked it? What do you mean it was cheating? What do you mean I like her?
It was rape, there is no other interpretation other than rape.
Robby lived with two addicts and yet he was abandoned in a bar with free access to alcohol, and that's where it started.
He got drunk for the first time, he drank for the first time and he has no resistance to alcohol because he stays away as best he can for the simple fact that his parents were addicts who never cared about him. So he wanted to forget what was happening, to repress all of this and he turned to alcohol because where else would he go when everyone didn't give a damn about him, or his situation with Tory or his emotions? Where else was he supposed to go when his example of dealing with emotions is aggression and addiction? So he drank. He drank to a level where he couldn't formulate a response, a sentence, when Kwon came to talk to him and provoke him, and we know that if he was sober he would have done something. It was obvious on his own face listening to Kwon that he was spaced out, drunk, and then Zara approached him. And took him to her room, from where he came out the next morning. No memory of the night before, a headache, and still looking out of it, as we can see when she kissed him and he didn't even react to it. The level of alcohol this requires is the level of alcohol that prevents someone from giving consent.
โ I barely remember last night
โ Good thing I do
Can we see the exact connotation that something happened? That she actually took advantage of the boy who couldn't speak to give consent, who couldn't think to say no, who was too drunk for this to be acceptable? The fact that she shows no remorse whatsoever for this happening and yet kisses him again.
Besides the fact that the writers themselves are treating it like it's some kind of cheating with Tory, the characters themselves acting like he's not a vulnerable person being raped by someone who knows better?
I hate her and I hate the writers for making this like it's nothing. I don't want to be that girl, but being that girl, if the roles were reversed, would this be in the show? Would this be treated that way? Or would they actually treat it like the SA situation that it is?
From the beginning, you can see her interest in Robby - starting with that scene in the captains' photo shoot where she talks to Tory. She knows he's in a relationship. All those teasing scenes with Tory. Her taking advantage of Robby. Then the fight scene.
โ You chose her over me?
Like, girl, what the fuck did you expect? He doesn't know you, he doesn't like you, you raped him and you're going after his girlfriend - the person he loves? How high is your ego to even consider that he would choose you? Axel's obsession with Sam I can understand more, although I still have my doubts. She was the first person to understand and see his situation with his sensei, she was friendly and he developed a protectiveness towards her. Although his attitude towards Miguel was wrong, he didn't rape Sam or act like a bitch towards her.
Iron Dragons and their obsession with the Miyagi-Do captains.
Zara Malik and the fact that she raped Robby Keene.
