My very first cosplay!

In 2017 when I was a huge Steven Universe fan and made a whole lot of gemsona OCs!

I dressed up as my Star Sapphire OC called Taurus ♉🐂✨

My dress was literally hot-glued together because I despised using our modern sewing machine (I still do)

I didn't have much money as a uni student that didn't work, so I DIYed a lot of the accessories, like the horns and the gem with whatever I had on hand.

I can't remember where I got the flowers, but I know they were free and I already had the perfect shoes! You can't see it very well, but they have cute little leaf gems on them.

I'll be doing my second and third cosplay this year as I'm going to two cons! They're both Danny Phantom-inspired!

This one will be my closet cosplay with a few extras. I've been documenting it for Tumblr and you can find what I've done so far here.

And this is my King (Queen) Phantom cosplay. Haven't started this one yet, but I'll also be documenting it, so look out for those posts!

Added the colour! I wanted her to be cute and candy coloured but still matchy.

This week was a rough one and I was tired, so I just did a simple doodle of a girl with her hair blowing in the wind.

You don't need anyone's approval for the stories you write and the art you create. But it's also absolutely valid to want some approval from your audience. Kudos and likes don't determine your creation's worth. But it just feels amazing to receive them.

These were the ideas I sketched for my final assignment. I decided on another minimalist cover with bright colours. I went for that half-and-half theme. The character sees herself and her alter ego as two separate things, as she didn't choose this for herself.

I played around with shackles and playing card themes as well, seeing as she's being toyed with by demons. She feels trapped despite seemingly having more freedom behind this dark face.

The clownish idea came from the Youtuber Understanding Conspiracy and his popular theory of 'The Nephilim Look Like Clowns'.

I borrowed the idea of the clown nephilim in their bright colours and mesmerising patterns and combined it with a character called a Jab Jab from my country's culture.

This is Rowena Galen. She was originally my Steven Universe Ruby OC that I turned human, that I turned into a witch, but I'm not for that witchcraft thing anymore, so she's a regular human now.

I have so many story lines for this character (she's my favourite, obviously). The sword alludes to her occupation as a knight.

I've recently decided to resurrect her, and I've been doodling some potential new designs.

Another OC! This is Bruna Draven, a bird-type character. I remember putting a lot of thought into her design, but I never got around to working on her story.

She was supposed to be a jealous rich mean-girl, but she slithered her way into being the oblivious yet well meaning friend.

She, Rowen and Iris are all from the same universe and are friends.
