An Oc of mine from a dystopian-type short story I want to write. In her world, people willingly get their natural body parts replaced with robotics. Being a flesh and blood human is seen as barbaric.

She wants to be 100% robot, just like the most popular and well-respected people in society. Obviously, there's a catch and she may have gone too far to avoid it.

I don’t know how to break this to some of you but someone being cringe is not a crime. It’s not even a cancellable offense. Too many of y’all have lost your sense of whimsy and now give off the energy of the popular kids in school who side eyed and scoffed at anyone different. Hiding behind the veil of online anonymity has made some of you really mean for no good reason

I keep not posting things I want to post because 'no one is gonna be interested in that' but I don't actually know that.

Can't know if I don't post and even if nobody cares, it's not like its a big deal.

I'm contemplating making her some sort of metal or woodworker. She studies under her father, so it's a family business this.

I've never cared about Harry Potter or JK Rowling that much, but the fact that people were announcing that they were removing Harry Potter tattoos over her opinions, or boycotting a game and shaming anyone who didn't, or even burning books should have been what woke me up years ago. I have not heard of HP Lovecraft or worse authors getting as much hate as she has, to the point where even liking any of her work is met with scrutiny. Apparently separating the author from their work can only work if the author isn't even gently pressing against a certain dogma.
