Hi everyone! I am an artist and a student of 2D Animation looking to share and to learn and grow!

Hi 👋, My name is Mohammad, and I’m reaching out in a moment of desperate need. I’m a father of three young children living in Gaza, and we are caught in the midst of a catastrophic war. Our home is no longer a safe haven, and the future here seems increasingly uncertain. 💔
I’ve launched a fundraising campaign with the goal of raising $60,000 to relocate my family to a safer place where my children can grow up in peace and have a chance at a brighter future.
Unfortunately, my previous fundraising efforts were abruptly halted when my account was terminated without explanation. However, I remain determined to keep fighting for my family’s safety and well-being. 🫶
If you could take a moment to read our story, consider donating, or simply share our campaign with others, it would make an incredible difference. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to safety and a new beginning. 🙏
Thank you for your time, compassion, and support. ❤️🩹

ART FOR EVERY BOOK I READ THIS SUMMER PART 4: We Have Always Been Here by Samra Habib
ART FOR EVERY BOOK I READ THIS SUMMER PART 3: THE SECRET HISTORY BY DONNA TARTT
Life got busy and I forgot about this project but now I’ve recommitted. Soon, you’ll have art for my entire 2024 summer book list!

(Little explanation)
This is a fairly liberal interpretation of the word ‘fanart’ but it is art inspired by the book I read, which is what I’m going for. The main take away from this book for me was that Ancient Greek philosophers and those three side characters in Dazed and Confused have something in common, and that is that they both represent the way me and my friends get together and have deeply existential conversations for the fun of it. Philosophy hasn’t changed, just the way the philosophers dress.
Part 1 of Art for Every Book I Read this Summer! Here are some character drawings (and doodles) for Zaphod Beeblebrox and Arthur Dent from The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. More characters from this awesome series will follow as I finish more and more of the books. As for other books off my summer reading list, they’ll be coming soon!!!
My biggest secret is that once I accidentally said Chekov’s cat when discussing a movie with friends and didn’t notice until about five minutes later and everyone else had heard and just decided not to tell me.
So much of my life has been a phase and thank god because if not I’d be absolutely insufferable. That being said, it still contributed to the development of the person I am, who isn’t perfect, but pretty great.
“what if kids identify with something and it ends up just being a phase-?” good. stop teaching and expecting kids (and adults honestly) to formulate permanent traits and ideas of themselves. everything in life is a phase. that doesn’t make it any less legitimate while you experience it. let people explore themselves and know it’s okay if what you think about yourself changes.
Shame does not stop ingenuity.
It’s Alvin and the Chipmunks as humans.
A little drawing I did after watching Dead Boy Detectives for the first time!!! Great show absolutely loved it!!!!!!!
For all of the northerners that stood up for Texas during our freeze and said, "Don't make fun of them, they've never dealt with this before. Their infrastructure isn't made for snow and freezing."
This one is for you.
Where I live 108°F with 80% humidity with no wind is normal.
Pacific North West is dealing historic best waves 35-40°C or 95-105°F.
First of all. Don't make fun of them for bitching about the heat. Just like Texas isn't built for a freeze and our pipes burst, Pacific North West isn't built for heat and a lot of their homes don't have AC.
If you live somewhere with a high humidity like 80+ HUMIDITY IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. The "humidity makes it feel cooler" is a lie once it gets beyond a point.
If you live somewhere with a lower humidity, misters are nice to cool off outside.
Once you get over 90°F (32°C) a fan will not help you. It's just pushing around hot air. (I mean if you can't afford a small AC unit because they're expensive as hell, by all means a fan is better than nothing).
If you have pets, those portable AC units aren't safe. If your pets destroy the outtake thing, it'll leak CO2. Window units are safer.
Window AC units will let mosquitoes or other small bugs in. Sucks, but that's life.
Now is not the time to me modest. If you have to cover for religious reasons, by all means. If you don't, I've seen people wear short shorts and a swim top. It's not trashy if it keeps you from getting heat stroke.
If you do have to cover up for religious reasons, look for elephant pants or something similar. They're made with a breathable material.
Shade is better than no shade, but that shit it just diet sun after some point. Don't think shade will save you from heat stroke.
I know the "drink your water" is a fun meme now, but if you're sweating excessively you need electrolytes. Drink Gatorade, Powerade, or Pedialite PLEASE. I don't care if you're fucking sitting in one spot all day. That shit WILL save you from heat stroke.
Most importantly. RESEARCH THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEAT STROKE AND HEAT EXHAUSTION PLEASE!
If you're diabetic and can't drink Gatorade, mix water, fruit juice, and either lite salt or pink salt
If you can afford it, cover windows with thick curtains to insulate the house
If you have tile floors, lay on them with skin to tile contact. If you don't, laying your head on cool counters works too.
If the temperature where you're at is hotter than your body temperature, don't wear heat wicking clothing. Moisture wicking is safe though.
Check your medication labels. Many make you more susceptible to sun and heat
-Room temperature water will get into your body faster. This is something I learned doing marching band in high summer in Georgia, and it saved all of our asses. Sip it, don't gulp it, especially if you're getting into the red; same goes for whatever fluid you're drinking. And just in general drink during the day.
-If you are moving from an air conditioned space to an un-air conditioned space, if at all possible try to make the shift gradual. When my dad and I were working outside and in un-ac houses a few years ago, he'd turn the air down to low in the truck about ten-fifteen minutes before we got where we were going. This way your body doesn't go from low low temps to high temps. S'bad for you.
-If you can, keep your lights off during the day. Light bulbs may not generate a lot of heat, but the difference is noticeable when it gets hot enough. I literally only turn my bedroom light on in the evening when it gets too dark.
Don't be afraid to just like... pour water on yourself if you need to. The evaporation will cool you off.
Put your hand to the cement for 15 seconds. If you can't handle the heat, it'll burn your dog's paws. Don't let them walk on it.
Dogs with flat faces are more prone to heat stroke. Don't leave them out unsupervised.
Frozen fruit is delicious in water.
Wet/Cold hat/handkerchief on your head/neck will help you stay cool.
Pickle juice is great for electrolytes! You can even make pickle juice Popsicles!
Heat exhaustion is more, "drink water and get you cooled off." Heat stroke is more "Oh my god call 911."
Image Description provided by @loveize
[Image description: an infographic showing the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke. The graphic is labeled "Heat Dangers: First Warning." Signs of heat exhaustion: faint or dizzy, excessive sweating, cool, pale, clammy skin, rapid, weak pulse, muscle cramps. If you think you or someone else may be experiencing heat exhaustion, get to a cool, air-conditioned place, drink water if conscious, and take a cool shower or use cold compress. Signs of heat stroke: throbbing headache, no sweating, red, hot, dry skin, rapid, strong pulse, may lose consciousness. If you think you or someone else may be experiencing heat stroke, call 911. End description]
Be safe.

If all goes according to plan, I’ll post a digital version of this soon. In the meantime… God do I wish I could watch this show for the first time again.
Dammit I made myself cry
Sometimes you watch an hours worth of hopecore videos at midnight and you have to draw your old dog.
My sweet boy passed away in April of 2023 and I still miss him everyday but you know what? I don’t think I ever remember him not liking someone, so if you’re feeling down, remember that wherever the dogs go in the end, there’s a 14 year old vizsla who loves you, and he has bright eyes, soft ears, and wants to find a way to sit on your lap.
“Wherever you are, I hope there’s a desert, and a car for you to chase.” - a line from a poem by me.
I miss you. You were so beautiful.
On a more technical note, I rarely ever crosshatch and I’m definitely not confident in it, but I’m here to try new things.

I worked hard to cross 6 books off of my 36 book long summer reading list. Yesterday I went to a thrift store and bought another 6 books. The breaking of my curse inevitably leads to its recreation.
Anyway! Does anyone want some pride flag art? Looking for prompts of any kind.
This is Todd.
Todd is the latest addition to my puppet family. He’s grumpy, so he’s not going to say anything, but I feel he looks a bit plain. Anyone know anything simple I can add? Hair? Let me know!
Last year I started watching Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and it quickly became my favorite but also made me think hey, the Star Trek franchise has so many different stories in the same universe, why can’t I come up with some?
So I created my OC’s and their story- Star Trek: New Life. I’ve been working on this animatic for about a month for fun and while the quality has definitely gone down closer to the end, I’m still super proud of it!
Song is I Know the End by Phoebe Bridgers

I adored it omg. I’m such a huge fan of the muppets and the other creations of Jim Henson and look up to him so much as a creator. It’s amazing to know that there were/are other people out there who feel like their time is going by just too quickly to be able to create everything they want to. No matter how much time I get, the things I create with that time, no matter if they change the world or not, are worth it.
That said, here’s the sketchbook page I filled while watching the documentary!
I wrote down some of my favorite quotes, but I know my handwriting isn’t always legible.
“The fact that he did Sesame Street instead of a series of nightclubs”
“Gretl is back from the moon!”
“Train of thought editing.”
“I’ve learned to walk around in my own head. That may sound silly to you but it’s been very, very helpful to me.”
“He wasn’t scared of dying… he believed there was something else there.”
“He wasn’t a musician but he thought like one.”
All that aside, thoughts on the funky puppet guy who takes up the bottom half of the page? Hair or no hair?
Here’s a quick and way too colorful drawing of my OC’s to say happy pride month! Given time, the rest of the gang may make an appearance, but for now, Daniel (left) and Nathan (right) will have their moment to shine.
Previously, I have not been part of any pride month celebrations, but I’m happy to be able to share some of my characters with you. These two and their friends have done a lot over the past few years to help me understand and process different aspects of my life and hopefully, eventually, they can do that for others too.
Daniel (left) is pansexual and Nathan (right) identifies as queer.
“Every time I learn something new about you, I love you even more.” -Fraggle rock: Back to the Rock
Happy pride!
