Regulus’s last letter to Pandora:

Min cadeau,

You are the only person I can trust. I discovered the dark lords secret, just like I always said I would. If you are reading this, I am likely dead, and my plan worked. I’m so sorry Pandora. You were always my favourite, but you probably already know that, didn’t you? You are the most beautiful thing that ever happened to me, and I’m so grateful to have been able to love you and be your brother for all these years. And I shall continue to love you from the night sky, until the last star burns out. I really do wish I could have told you this in person, but here we are. I’ll miss you forever. And tell my goddaughter that I will always be there for her - that I’ll always be her uncle Regulus , as she will always be my little Luna. Goodbye little sister.

I really wanna write a fic about regulus and Pandora’s friendship throughout their lives, starting before Hogwarts and ending with Pandora’s death so if anyone has any ideas or headcannons about them I really wanna hear themmm!!

i like the idea of remus being friends with everyone and not knowing?? and he’s friends with more people than any of the other marauders bc james and sirius are really cliquey and peter just follows them around.

so he’s friends with most of the gryffindors- especially the older years because he sells drugs to them 👮‍♂️ remus lupin in the head of the hogwarts black market

like hes obviously besties with regulus (don’t tell sirius) so he’s friends with pandora by proxy. they’re a cute friend group who talk shit together.

and then he’s ’one of the girls’ and is constantly hanging around lily, mary, marlene and dorcas. they have a book club and talk shit about the marauders and their teachers

don’t forget the ravenclaws! mf spends most of the time in the library. there r bound to be some ravenclaws who frequent the library and got curious abt the nerd with all the scars. so bc of all these new ravenclaw friends, he absentmindedly founds a whole ass study group.

then all the younger years from all the houses join said group. alongside the older years from other houses that sit in so that when the younger years leave they can buy cigarettes off of him.

and don’t forget the teachers! do u really think he doesn’t have afternoon tea with madam pomfrey, even when it’s not a full moon?

i can imagine remus spending his day pissing about with the marauders in the morning, going to his study club after school, meeting up with the girls in the common room, heading out to have a chat with pomfrey, and then going back to the dorms to listen to music with the marauders while he conspires a plan on how to sneak out to the astronomy tower to meet up with regulus and pandora later.

Lily went on and on for months to Mary and Marlene about how Pandora's hair always looked great, it was always styled perfectly in the cutest ways. One day she finally told Pandora that she loved her hair and asked how she manages it. She was shocked to find out Regulus has been doing it for her.

Pandora kept complaining about hating doing her hair ever since Regulus met her on their first day, so he started learning how to style it for her. Ever since then Pandora would come up to his dorm in the mornings so Regulus could do her hair. It became their thing and Regulus would sometimes come up to Pandora with different clips and charms that he'd bought for her hair.

In case you were wondering Regulus and Pandora absolutely dressed up as Rapunzel and Flynn for Halloween one year because Pandora wanted to and Regulus will do anything for her

little drabble about Pandora and Regulus' friendship

"And what's this one?" Pandora lifts her head from regulus' chest to look at the small flower he's holding before her

"A buttercup, you know that." she drops her head back and digs her feet into the grass "there the little flowers that tell you whether you like butter or not" she rolls her eyes a bit a the myth because it isn't even creative

"Maybe, but I won't know for sure until I ask you, beside we both know thats just some fairy tale" Pandora sighs contently at that because regulus' comfort towards pandoras honesty and inability to handle fake things is nice

most people get annoyed that Pandora has little interest in pretending that silly stories are real or in telling people lies for their own comfort. Regulus doesn't, though. Regulus likes pandoras honesty because "very few people are truly honest." They balance each other, that's why they work so perfectly because Pandora can be honest and Regulus can handle it with grace

Pandora runs her hand softly down towards her leg until she finds Regulus' hand and intertwines their fingers. She leans her head back looking up at the blue sky and the willow tree above them

It's quite for a minute the sound of regulus' breathing and his chest rising and falling the only disturbance

eventually, she hears the grass ruffle, and then a quiet voice asks, " And what about this one?"

regulus black loved swimming from the moment his uncle Alphard taught him when he was three. He loved swimming because it made the word quiet, and it felt like flying. He loved summers in France and would drag sirius to the pond at dawn. Sirius hated swimming, until he became an anamagous, because he thought he would drown. When Regulus got older and Sirius left, he would swim with pandora. He would laugh and be free. Regulus found freedom and safety in swimming. So when he released he was going to drown in that cave he was happy that he would die in freedom he only wished he could he see the brightest star one more time.
