★ Aatamixx, the Echoflower System's Introduction 💫🪻

Hello, welcome to my blog, I'm Aatami (AKA Mishka or Snep)! Well, that's just collectively speaking. If you're talking about the whole system, you can call me (us) the Echoflower System. My collective pronouns are he/him, but kit/kitself, nya/nyaself, and star/starself are all good too. I'm pretty new to Tumblr (well I had a blog in like 2020, but I've forgotten basically everything about it… also I use parentheses way too much, gosh), but I plan to use this blog as a sort of archive for all the xenogenders I've coined, as well as getting into the MOGAI and plural communities on here. I hope I can find my people on this website. /lh

I also use the account that it's posted under for posting the occasional bulletin (and storing my original characters, but those are all private and will remain as such for the foreseeable future).

★ Small Facts About the System ★

(Switching to using plural language for this was a little jarring lawl, I'm very much used to referring to myself singularly.)

★ We have OSDD-1B (recognized by our psychologist, but unable to be officially diagnosed due to not being disordered — we've achieved functional multiplicity, surprisingly enough) and are of mixed traumagenic origins

★ We are an aceplex

★ We're a theriosystem

★ We are very male- / masculine-heavy, due to our gender dysphoria affecting everyone

★ Because we're so male-heavy, we default to using he/him instead of they/them when referring to an unspecified alter or one whose gender identity is unknown

★ We're also somewhat angel-heavy

★ Due to our maladaptive daydreaming, our system has countless paracosms (the most active ones of which being the worlds our original stories are set in, as well as our fandoms, especially ones we're hyperfixating on)

★ Our headspace is exclusively set in our daydreams, and is not something that's just there in the background — it has to be consciously visualized and visited (or well, accidentally while zoning out)

★ We are a dreamway system of sorts, but I should mention that we don't experience walk-ins and pretty much none of our alters are paragenic

★ Our alters almost never interact in the headspace, but they can use things like the Simply Plural chat and get a conversation going if need be

So we have a new member, an introject, and he is struggling to adapt to things a bit and feeling kind of emotional. But I have my own stuff going on too and don't have the energy really to deal with this rn. I'm just...augh...tired. I wish I could help him more but I really don't even know what to do since this has never happened for us before

Today Elin came back after several days of being distant and purposefully stayed co-con rather than co-front because he thinks it will help build my communication and awareness. He was making me do grounding stuff so we didn't get blurry...I think he's just a sadist tho and likes watching me struggle

It's so wild to me still how different some of the others are. And it's no wonder I would try to supress the differences. It can be kinda scary and uncomfortable to suddenly feel like you hate something you love or feel suddenly angry for no reason. And that's just being influenced by *one* of them. It's so strange sometimes of course my instinct is to think it's not real.

This is random but I made and have been regularly filling out this personal form to judge when I am dissociated and how I am feeling and this silly form is doing more for my denial than anything I've ever done. I can go back and see the other answers and stuff that don't align with me and know that I wasn't just imagining it all. I really was not myself for those times no matter what I want to pretend

It's always strange to me when fictives appear that they're never the character from the show or whatever that I'm actually obsessed with. It'll be someone kinda random that I would never expect

Elin just told me he's co-con most of the time I just never notice...

Noticing and acknowledging and even accepting what it feels like to co-front has been a very big hurdle for us. Maybe because I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone else describe the sensation in quite the same way as we experience it. It's a little hard to explain properly but I found some images that kind of translate the feeling.

tw: images may mess with eyes or impose feelings of unreality

Most of the time we feel like 'ourselves' (i.e. the one correlated with our irl name/Des) but who is easily influenced by the others.

Only, when one of the others front, Des doesn't necessarily leave front or even develop amnesia and can usually still speak. It feels like the above images, with two beings occupying the same space. Afterwards Des will remember the basics of what transpired but as if it happened to another person or was a dream--with details missed and emotions muted or lost from the time.

So does anyone else notice that when they smoke/are high that some others (I still haven't found a word I like) are more likely and/or easier to front? Like in the past some of them didn't like the feeling and would avoid front. I've noticed that there are particular others that consistently are okay with fronting while high. It's kind of strange and definitely I think contributes to my denial and confusion. Unfortunately now days I am more likely to be high to some degree than sober. Dissociation also feels different when high which is another factor. It's just so hard to quit. (This post isn't about that, though ...)

Anyways...am I alone here?

As someone who really struggles with unclear rules/concepts, being a system is a very difficult idea to grasp or accept personally. Every few years I go through a cycle of denial and then rediscovery and exploration that eventually I get frustrated with and abandon. Perhaps it's a lack of self assurance in myself. Whatever it is, I hope this time is different somehow.

It's hard to do the difficult thing when it's much easier to just continue trudging along in a fog.

Do you have alters that speak different languages? If so, which languages? :0

We personally don’t have any alters that speak different languages. While collectively we know a bit of Spanish, there’s no one who speaks a different language exclusively, at least not that we know of! Who knows, haha. Thank you for the ask!

🦴 - Is anyone in your system dating? If so, who is the strangest pair?

Yep! Only two as far as we’re aware, but they’re not exactly strange, especially since they were kind of in a situation ship in source.

💀 - Is there a particular source you have a lot of fictives from?

Oh, definitely. I stare at Slay the Princess in horror.

🪦 - Who has the strangest habits?

Well, we have one person, but I don’t think they’d like to share it so I’ll just go for the next weirdest one. Collecting insect corpses and random rocks.

⚰️ - Do you have any nonverbal headmates?

Yep! Involuntary and voluntarily!

🕷 - Who is the worst at masking?

The British one. Or the littles, but they mostly stay inside anyway so it’s not too big of a deal.

🕸 - How did your headmates get their names?

Depends on the alter, some find a name that feels right, some do extensive research to find something that matches them perfectly, some use a random name generator, some just come prepackaged.

☠️ - Do you have any headmates with colored hair,piercings, or tattoos?

Hm, off the top of my head, maybe two or three- but there’s probably more that I can’t think of.

🔪 - How consistent are you with logging switches?

Ooh, we’re really bad at this. We try our best, but when you can’t remember things and not all of your members are even aware you have simply plural, it gets a little tough.

🧿 - Is there anyone who spends most of their time in front complaining?

Uhh, yep. We have a few emotion holders who do that- also some persecutors, littles, it varies. Nobody in specific.

🎃 - Is there anything specific you do to help introjects feel more comfortable?

Allowing them to state clear boundaries, get things that are comforting to them that are from source, or allowing them to branch out if they prefer not to identify as their source! Whatever they need, for the most part.

👻 - How did you discover your plurality/systemhood?

We frankly do not remember very well, but one day they just. Appeared. We passed them off as imaginary friends. We were not imaginary friends.

🩸 - Is there anyone who absolutely hates their source?

No one who absolutely despises it, but there are definitely a few who don’t like to be associated with their source.

🦇 - Are there any songs that you associate with systemhood/plurality or your system as a whole?

Not really!

Yep! We have a few guys in there, love those guys. They embrace themselves and don’t give a shit about what others think! They’re really great and sweet.

🔮 - How does your system determine who handles certain tasks/responsibilities?

it sort of plays out naturally- or higher ups decide, well, something like that. I’m not certain if there’s like anything specifically but generally they show up just knowing? Or they just end up settling into the role.

🧟‍♂️ - Who is the most outwardly intimating? Are they viewed the same way within the system?

Outwardly intimidating… probably nicole because of just how confident and blunt they are? they’re less intimidating insys but, yeah, still not the easiest to talk to.

It depends on the little. For the most part, no. Especially during text- any quirks are mainly voice-related when internally speaking, and those are unintentional and not too obvious.

Plenty, plenty. But you know, alters are unique to your experiences. But I suppose compared to the typical archetypes and such, definitely, yes.

Typically through picrews, for Introjects fanart. Some guys want to draw, but it’s not typical.

insert funny thing here about plurality because i remember i had this really funny idea for a post in my head but now its forever lost to the void that is my subconscious

pov : you try and convince your headmates to rest at night because its a healthy thing to do. they proceed to look for one specific journal to read they just randomly remembered for more than an hour that had four pages in it done because ‘i won’t remember it tomorrow’. the next day, you feel like shit

no because where did all these fictives come from did my brain give up on making guys

you know that feeling when you leave your Spotify playlist alone for a few weeks and suddenly you hate every song on there

ill answer this one for our collective ...... our stress, exhaustion, and pain has decreased drastically due to our system. we're all here for each other, both on our good, and our bad days. we're here to listen to each other when no one outside will, and we are here to spread positivity and love throughout our system and take the brunt of the blow for each other so we can keep on going. we do playfully banter a TON, but in all seriousness, we genuinely all keep each other alive.

We'll go first. If it wasn't for our system and the ability to relieve each other from fronting there's no fucking way we'd be half as functional as we currently are with the excruciating level of pain we're in. So god damn thankful I don't have to do this bullshit alone.

i swear getting a headmate who likes bugs is a universal experience and i don’t know why -blurry

my fandom is actually composed of quite a few plural collectives- and many of the fandoms we're in (besides a select few) have creators who are outwardly plural friendly and have supports for plural collectives (eg. pluralkit). so, id say in my experience personally in the few inbetweens ive interacted with my own fandom, its mostly been fine, besides the few outliers here and there, along with some strange ships id rather not think about again... - sun ☀
