Happy New Years! I drew my OC and Okuyasu (*^▽^*) It was my first time drawing him and I was really nervous that I’d mess him up (and I did ;-;) and I’m sorry about it being last minute and rushed, I procrastinated a lot (´∀｀;) I might make another drawing because this one is a self ship and not that good

Nijimura bros. headcanon lore, tw abuse

This is part of my AU lore, their story is a bit different from canon.

Their mother died when Keicho was 6 and Oku was 2 (they're four years apart), their father simply stopped caring about them, beside the usual abuse. Keicho had to steal a bit of the money Dio sent to Mansaku in order to buy just some groceries for him and Oku, who was too small to understand anything. Mama was gone and his big brother was stressed out beyond relief, and he couldn't do anything to help.

Then Mansaku became that goopy monster and things looked... Better, somewhat. He was completely docile, he never tried to hurt them again, but Keicho was terrified at the idea of someone finding out and possibly taking the brothers apart.

So he forbid Okuyasu from going out, he locked all doors and windows, they acted like the house was abandoned for years. And in his obsession to keep Oku safe, he became the very thing he swore to destroy: he turned into a control freak, punishing and belittling his little brother over the dumbest things. Maybe he thought that if Oku hated him, he won't be sad if he eventually died?

Fast forward the RHCP incident.

Keicho is lying lifeless on those power cables, under his terrified brother's eyes. The Hand swipes at the body, bringing him back on the rooftop, desperately holding onto the hope he's still alive. Josuke heals Keicho out of pity, he knows he's too late.

But that doesn't stop Oku from trying and restarting his heart again, and... It works?

Keicho is alive but far from well, he has failed everything: his goal, his brother, his desire. He falls into depression, he doesn't care anymore about the arrow or his father (who is currently under the Speedwagon's foundation care: his ability to regenerate could help immensely with new cures), he just wallows in regret for everything he has done.

It takes Okuyasu a good while to coax him out of his room, no matter how much he tells him he's not mad, everything is okay, I would never hate you. Still, Keicho has a very hard time forgiving himself for what he did in the past. Okuyasu might have the heart of an angel, but that doesn't erase what he had to endure for all those years.

On the bright side!!! Their brothership is back to somewhat normal, they just need to learn how to be patient without jumping at each other's throat. Keicho is actually a great big brother, the cool kind that picks you up from school with the sickest motorbike and scares the bullies away with just One Look™.

Aaand that's just some rant about them things, lemme know if yall want some softer headcanons like their fav food or stuff like that

Btw Johnny and Yosaku's squads are main Water. Johnny has some Dark and Grass type, while Yo definitely has an Audino and other Psych Pokémon. They're raising a Gyarados together too

Josuke is a Fairy type trainer. Maybe some Ice??

Oku's squad is probably all Fight aside from Giratina and Sprigatito. Mayyybe a Steel Pokémon?

Keicho is full Ghost/Dark. Edgy boi.

Tonio probably Fairy and Fire? Uuh some Grass too

I love throwing Pokémon at ppl on their lore/vibe/aesthetic

Thinking about a Pokémon AU, I have some ideas but I'm still unsure about Tonio and Yosaku

Johnny has a baby Houndoom (tied with his origins) and a Cherrym (his Stand ability)

Yosaku... Probably a Dhelmise? Or a Dondozo, he needs a sea Pokémon since he's a fisherman. Oh and a Castform for his Stand ability, even thought I don't really like Castform's design

Josuke has Diance and Quaquaval. Because I mean, look at him.

Okuyasu has a broken op Stand, so he totally has Giratina. Shiny so he matches The Hand's palette. And a Sprigatito for Stray Cat

Keicho got a Decidueye (mostly because of the bow and arrow plot) and Falinks. His own little bug army ;;

Tonio surely has a Dachsbun. I'm not entirely sure about his other Pokémon, probably Smolive? Or Fuecoco. Or Appletun. Or really any other food related Pokémon ;w;

Also he's a fox, Keicho is a Pallas cat, Okuyasu is a Dobermann and Josuke is an otter because yeah
