It's May 10th, the one year anniversary of the effective "start" of the 2024 Kirby OC Tournament, an event which turned out to be shockingly important to me on a very real level.

(Were it not for that, I would not have finished fleshing out Noir, and through him, figured out what it was that had been poisoning my life for so many years.)

...While I still have much to sort through emotionally when it comes to a lot of my content and how to handle the more sensitive bits going forward, this piece and the unbelievable events that led to it (and followed) shall always hold a special place in my heart ✨

An MS Paint-esque parody of the Tumblr classic "there are two types of Kirby ocs" meme image, this version featuring Mint-TermsAndCondition's OC, Rope MF, a rope-loving Waddle Dee with no thoughts in his head as the "nothing bad has ever happened to me" character, and DesultoryNovice's (me) Noir Fontaine, Dark Matter Swordsman reimagined as an unlucky, undead, oft cursed formerly-human teenager as "THE PAIN NEVER CEASES" character. soooo kirby oc It will never stop being funny to me that Rope MF and Noir clashing in the SC finals made The Meme happen for real Sorry to dip back in with a repost but I was perusing old memories when I saw this come up and laughed all over again It's been a little over 40 days since I shuttered things and while it might sound weird to say (was even weirder to live)... ...being here contributed to *saving my life* I think With some time away to think and *breathe* without a 'collar' around my neck I realize...how close I was to just shutting down... There were many stress headaches to go along with all the big revelations but still...thank you Kirblr. You odd duck you! (PS: A heads up that I considered putting something special together for Apologies AU's 2nd anniversary on May 13th... ...but after much consideration and some soul searching I decided that I'm not *quite* there just yet.
