hii! I'd love to learn more about Aves if you'd like to share. Why do they take the shape they do when they do?

Alrighty! Can do.

Aves is my main OC, and also a representation of my therianthropy and otherkinity. Aves uses any pronouns including xenos and neos, like me.

Besides that, Aves is mainly a tribrid manticore/dragon/griffin cross, to represent the three upcoming open species I’m working on for a worldbuilding project. Aves also has some aspects of smaller species from that same world, but they’re unimportant :)

As for their appearance- they get their body shape from dragons, mostly. They have heavy keratinous scales that they got from manticores, and feathery fur they got from griffins. Aves has several pairs of wings- three sets of “flight” wings, an ornamental pair of trailing wings, a wedge-shaped pair on their tail for steering, and if you’re being specific the three sets of fins on their tail could be considered wings as well, I suppose. Their tails (of which they have three) are very long and whiplike. Their colors shift depending on their mood.

important Aves note- depending on who Aves is talking to, they can switch forms to match. If they’re speaking to a manticore, they take the form of a manticore. Same for griffins and dragons.

As for the lore- Aves is a progenitor, or the creator of all species in the world’s creation myth. They’re the head of the pantheon, and represent opposing forces- life/death, joy/sorrow, sickness/health, wrong/right… et cetera. Because of this, their right side is twisted and corrupt, and their left is pure. According to the myth, two children sprouted from their two side tails- two gods, one just and one corrupt. These children imbued each creature of the Earth with three traits from each (the fox, for example, is cunning, tricky, and sly (bad) but also loyal, noble and free (good)).

Aves also wields this flamethrower-gun-thing known as a gigantomizer. Feel free to ask about that (and its smaller form, the atomizer). That has to do with The ORiON Project, my WIP comic.

these guys'll use their four wings to glide between treetops and high places, slowing their descent. their feathers are used in potion-brewing AND to upgrade elytras. they also have a stun attack when tamed.

they can be tamed with offerings of meat, and come with a few different variants to boot (including an Archaeopteryx variant)

These fat birds are tamed with melons. They peck buttons and press pressure plates, and are too dumb to live. Their meat is also delicious.
