Dynamite Entertainment has announced a new series, Nancy Drew, by Kelly Thompson and Jenn St-Onge. The teen sleuth’s latest daring adventure debuts in June, with cover variant artwork by the astonishing assemblage of Tula Lotay, Marguerite Sauvage, Annie Wu, and series artist Jenn St-Onge.

In the new series, Nancy Drew is seventeen and good at everything… especially solving crimes. This is a rather personal issue to me. Doctors suggested I had a rare form of brain damage because they couldn't believe a girl could be autistic. It wasn't until multiple MRIS and other scans came back proving it wasn't the case and some other tests that proved that I am in fact autistic.

So, basically, what this article is saying is they discovered the way that boys present with autism, went “well that covers 100% of the population surely!” and then didn’t bother figuring out how autism presents in girls.

Girls slip through the diagnostic net, said Attwood, because they are so good at camouflaging or masking their symptoms. “Boys tend to externalise their problems, while girls learn that, if they’re good, their differences will not be noticed,” he said. “Boys go into attack mode when frustrated, while girls suffer in silence and become passive-aggressive. This. This is a feminist issue. This is an issue like holy shit there are doctors out there who will deny a female patient who is referred to them because ‘lul girls don’t get austism’. They didn’t think to do any more research because, whatever right? We figured out how to solve the male side of the problem.

it’s a bbc adapatation

technically a mini series but i like to see it as three hours of lesbian content heaven

it’s about this girl who falls in love with an actress and she goes to see her at the theatre five billion times until the actress notices her (that’s just the first part, other things happen to the main so watch the rest for more lesbian content~)

the main character (nan astley/king) is like… my fave. i love her.

the book is very good too!!!

this is about two actresses who were a couple when they shot a movie together and now they have to go back and re-shoot some love scenes but they’re not a couple anymore and it’s sad af

i have basically never seen this movie in any rec lists but it’s actually one of my faves and i cry so much to this movie tbh

it’s about a doctor who falls in love with a dancer and the doctor’s relationship with her conservative mom

The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls In Love

you may have heard of this one but if you haven’t it’s time you watch it

that woman who plays tina on the l word is a butch-ish girl in this one

VERY CUTE and chill

every time i watch this it feels like this movie is the director’s BABY like it seems like she cares about this story so much and it makes the movie feel so genuine and lovely

i want every baby lesbian to watch this, please, it’s my gift to you.
