buddie scene that keeps me up at night: the hospital convo from fight or flight. we have no idea HOW eddie found out buck tried the cellphone trick with chimney, but his response was to…go directly to buck? let him know he understood the thought process and probably would’ve done the same? be a silent source of support in case athena had more to say? and can we take a moment to reflect on eddie telling buck that there’s one thing different about maddie and doug’s situation this time? that she’s not in it alone because she has buck looking for her? it’s “no matter how bad it got…i always had you” before maddie ever said it. what the fuck, guys. what the fuck.

My favourite way of buck coming out to the firefam is someone bringing in LGBTQ+ badges in and buck just goes "sick!" And picks up a bi flag and walks away while everyone else just is shocked in a range of huh? To WHAT!
Eddie trying to reach Buck “Hey, just… you just stay with me, okay?”
So, we all know that Eddie hated Buck so easily saying he was the one who should’ve been shot.
But can we take a minute to acknowledge how much it also hurt him? He’s not just exasperated. There’s a reason he’s so emotional talking about it later.
It’s absolutely gut wrenching to hear someone you love talk about themselves like they don’t matter. Like their life doesn’t matter. And Eddie has been listening to Buck’s self-deprecation for a long time.
This was just what finally broke him.
Ed and Mustang’s relationship is really funny because Ed thinks they’re in an equally-matched battle of wills and it’s a matter of time until his inevitable victory and Mustang thinks that it’s an unfair contest and also that he’s the winner and the truth of it is that both of them are losers because one of them is a thirty year old man in a years long feud with a teenager and the other one is a teenager whose second biggest preoccupation in life is getting one over on his boss
this is LITERALLY the funniest promotional piece that anyone has ever made for a tv show or movie ever
Thinking about the absolute banger of a line we are sure to get with Eddie's love confession.
That man is THEE sappiest, THEE most unabashedly romantic of all of them. Can you imagine what he's going to say to Buck when an unrepressed Eddie finally lets himself say the words? After everything he's already said to Buck? Even while he was repressed as hell? We're not just getting a simple "I love you," that's for sure.
I am vibrating out of my skin thinking about it...
I can’t even think about it too much because it drives me up the wall. Eddie has such a way with words. He says things with so much sincerity and so much love that’s it’s impossible not to melt.
My favorite thing, too, is that everyone thinks he’s more or less put together, careful with selecting his words, etc., but when he’s with buck exclusively, he also does this little rambling thing that’s so disgustingly endearing. We’ve only seen a glimpse of it when he was with Shannon, but it’s magnified tenfold with Buck.
When he removes his filter, though??? We are, without a doubt, getting a whole ass love confession for the storybooks from that man.
Thinking about Will insisting to El they'd "fix it together" in the first episode of the season
And how rolling 11 wasn't enough to save everyone in the Curse of Vecna DnD campaign
And how Brenner continually insists El isn't ready
And how we still don't fully understand how or why Will survived the Upside Down in S1
And how Will's psionic connection to the Upside Down has been emphasized over and over as both a saving grace and a weapon
And how I am personally owed a Willel team-up just because so give it to me Duffle bags
