I am calling on my followers and anyone else reading this post to take time to donate at least 10 euros to Nader's family's campaign, especially if you stopped scrolling to vote in the poll. It is vetted (#4 on the list).
Nader has gone through unimaginable pain and conditions continue to worsen. If you cannot donate, at least share this campaign, including on other social media sites if you have a following there.
Personally, I like winter because I get to wear sweaters and jackets without getting overheated.
It also helps that I know I'll end the cold nights with a roof over my head, which is a luxury that many people in Gaza do not have. Maybe the idea of a dangerous winter is something that feels alien to many of us, but for families in Gaza, winter poses a very real risk. Few have a proper shelter and are living in cloth tents, which offer little protection from the cold. Getting proper clothing and food, much less warm food, is an incredible struggle.
My friend Dina @dinamahammed99 is living in this kind of situation every day, with her two very young children. Her son has already gotten a fever, and proper healthcare is hard to find right now. She also wants to be able to buy a better tent to keep her family warmer in the winter, but resources in Gaza are limited and the prices keep rising. If she can't get a proper tent, the winter will be incredibly dangerous and they will be left unprepared. She is asking for your help to save her children from this fate. No child deserves to freeze, or to go hungry or thirsty. If you believe in the rights of all human beings, then please move to help my friend and improve the situation for her children.
Dina is verified by association, please see this post. Thank you
seeing this might have made me yell-laugh
for over a year i've been seeing palestinians campaigning for funds for their survival across social media. i see Palestinians in tumblr notes, twitter replies, youtube comment sections, tiktoks, instagram, etc. there's no social media i regularly use where i haven't seen multiple posts a day from Palestinians asking for help and to be heard. of course, i share and donate what i can. but what gets me is that if I am seeing posts every day then so are the millionaires and billionaires and politicians with the power to end their suffering...and they don't!!!!!
it makes me sick. according to forbes there are over 2700 billionaires in the world with a combined wealth of trillions. it would take less than even 1% of that to fill the gofundmes of Palestinians trying to rebuild their lives. yet the majority of money in these gofundmes is from ordinary folks scrounging spare change. its heartening in a way to watch so many with relatively little pool our resources to help others. but it also makes me so angry because i know there are people with more money than anyone in history seeing the same faces and gofundmes and are doing nothing.
so i'd really appreciate it if you could all help me spotllght Hani Alanqar's campaign. Hani is @haniyassersposts, is only 26, and currently sheltering in a school in Gaxa with his young siblings. He needs 25k to escape the genocide with his sick mother and father and has so far only raised 5k. His campaign is vetted #5 here. let's keep doing what we can to help until Palestine is free.
@ayeshjourney Mohamad Ayesh is the on-ground Gaza verifier of a lot of Gaza campaigns, and he needs our help to raise the necessary funds to help his younger brother Yasser, who is 10 years old and in urgent need to get his cochlear implant replaced and get back to his speech thereby and help his family rebuild their lives again.

Anyone who dares to insult me in the comments while justifying the killing of children and women and calling them “terrorists” is someone who does not know the meaning of humanity. I have lost more than 30 members of my family due to the brutality of the occupation, and all of them were victims whose only fault was that they were born in a land suffering from oppression.
How can some people ignore the suffering of humans and speak about them in such a cold manner? Such thoughts are unacceptable, every life lost is a tragedy, and every family that loses its members suffers indescribable pain.
This is the campaign for my family that I created seven months ago to save the rest of my family from death.

hi everyone!! id like to bring your attention to this group of queer refugees located in a camp in Gorom, South Sudan.
i came in contact with Goret, one of the lesbians from the camp, and she told me about how terrible their situation at the moment is.
if short, they lack funds for meals, poor medication/shelter conditions/beddings.
they also face physical threats due to homophobia and some of the members already have been severely injured because of the attacks.
their campaign is getting barely any traction, so id love if you guys could share, donate, and talk about it. lets help Goret and her fellow camp members to raise funds for survival! even small donations of $5 will mean a lot!
they're currently at $5 out of $4000 goal!
Goret's blog where you can see more photos of their current situation - @goret97
here is their gofundme page w/ protected donations!
Most of us will never know the agony of being a parent that does everything to provide for their child, only to keep coming up empty. Of the immense suffering and self-loathing that comes with being responsible for this little life, and feeling like you're failing: to keep them safe, warm, sheltered, fed. Of holding your child, your toddler, your newborn, watching them slowly waste away from that relentless, gnawing hunger you can't stop (one that you feel yourself). Watching as they howl in pain, and the hollowness that comes when your child becomes too weak even to do that. All the while being totally helpless to stop it because it's not up to you.
Most of us will only see the aftermath of such a thing: a parent carrying the far-too-light shroud of their child, pictured under a headline that details how starvation has taken hold of some given population. Distant and removed from us.
Except that it isn't. There are so many desperate parents who've run out of options, for whom this isn't some abstraction, who are asking—begging—us for our help. Just so they'll be able to buy some of the shit canned food left from the last aid delivery, and a couple loaves of bread to feed their children with. Extortionately pricey because of scarcity, but it's enough to keep their children in a state of "acute malnutrition" rather than "catastrophic hunger", so they'll pay anything for it.
Attacks on NGOs & prevention of aid into Gaza puts every single person there at risk of a slow death due to starvation. Especially children, like Samah's newborn baby boy, her little 2 year-old girl, and their big sister (who's only 9). But we can help. What's pocket money for us, is an invaluable lifeline to parents like Samah right now. At a time when so many seem to have decided to live in an alternate universe in which deliberate starvation and mass slaughter of civilians is acceptable, we have to do what we can to oppose it. Not to push it away, to ignore it, to decide it's been going on so long we don't care or that it's hopeless so give up, but to grit our teeth, dig our heels in, and say "no, seriously, what the fuck are we doing here?"
tldr: donate to Samah so she can buy food for her kids so they don't starve to death. please. and thank you. :)
