I’m not one for religion, but I always found comfort in the words of Joshua Graham, and this post reminds me of that. The only detail I would revise is the painted fingernails as it could be interpreted as though it’s a “feminine feature/trait/burden” to nurture and understand and rescue, when all humans are capable of doing so, and we are all vulnerable to suffering and struggle.
Beautiful work, I really like this.
The light in the dark.
That's a happy sign right there

Update from the man himself
Finally got to paint this idea I had after failing the last time. My friends on Discord suggested a music dress so I might take a stab at that next :D Timelapse below. The full hours long video recording, HD image, and PSD file will be DMed on my Patreon.com/Yuumei on March 5th
“We had to recognize that our generation was more to be trusted than theirs. They surpassed us only in phrases and in cleverness; the first bombardment showed us our mistake, and under it the world as they had taught it to us broke in pieces. While they continued to write and talk, we saw the dying. While they taught that duty to one’s country is the greatest thing, we already knew that death-throes are stronger. But for all that we were no mutineers, no deserters, no cowards. We loved our country as much as they; we went courageously into every action; but also we distinguished the false from true, we had suddenly learned to see. And we saw that there was nothing of their world left. We were all at once terribly alone; and alone we must see it through.“
