I find the idea of post-apocalyptic Paulkins very interesting.
Do you think they deny any type of therapy at first because they’ve been “normal” their whole lives. They don’t need that.
Do think Emma gets another job as a barista but quits the first day. Because all she can think about is the last time that she brewed coffee, and the scars and shaking that didn’t cover her hands back then.
Do you think they still cling onto each other like wild animals any time they get a moment of peace, as if there’s a zombie mob coming to break their door down and ruin it.
Do you think Paul can even hear music without freaking out, ten times worse than before? Can Emma?
They were strangers a month ago. Do you think they can even breathe when the other is out of their sight? Do you think they want to?
Rewired my brain you ate this so hard
here is the finished. time bastard piece i started yesterday. it’s not the best but. compared to the original piece of art it’s based off of. i really like it!!
i’m one day late please forgive me 😞
I love my cat. He actually will walk around in circles on my bed if I’m walking around the room so he stays near me. Any time I get close to him he head butts me until I pet him. His name is Michael. What a little freak(he’s my best friend in the whole universe)
Tagging this as Michie is wild bro😭
I completely understand not liking a ship or how it’s portrayed, but you have to understand. That’s your opinion. No we do not all have to come to an agreement, we’re all different people with different thoughts.
There’s a difference between “I wish a ship was portrayed more this way,” and “I think we should all come to an agreement to stop engaging in this specific way because people are doing it Wrong, which is, not aligning with how I see it.”
Share your opinion. Go for it! But this is closer to policing the things that other people enjoy. Acting like the only right or acceptable way to enjoy a ship is the more angsty version that it would play out as realistically is,
1) Defeating the point of fan works, being that they can branch away from canon as much as you want because it’s literally just for fun, and
2) Unkind
Let people have fun! If you don’t think it’s fun then dont do it! Block the tag!
Hey Hatchetfield moots can we just collectively realize and accept the fact that Michie is lowkey a very toxic relationship because canonically Max has been bullying Pete since fourth grade which would mean he probably started bullying the other nerds around then which means Max has been bullying Richie and the nerds for almost a decade so even if Max has a redemption arc and does canonically have trauma I don't think there is any way this ship could be positive or healthy Richie would have to have some Stockholm syndrome type shit to even fall in love with Max in the first place not trying to ruin the ship for anyone but I feel like we need to realize this as a fandom please and thank you 💞💕
I don’t think the guy rerun is a cash grab. As a viewer you can have whatever opinion, I understand not wanting it. But like. I’m pretty sure they’re just doing it because everyone at Starkid likes the show and wanna do it again.
Plus, they’ve grown a lot with the introduction of Hatchetfield. Don’t pretend you aren’t at least a little excited to see the show with a bigger budget.

Not to be a hater but there’s nowhere to run for the class of 2021
The issue I have with the fanon versions of Richie, and less so Ruth, that I don’t have with Max is that Max always has an arc. Like in every fic you read of him being nice it’s “Mean jock who’s never had an actual friendship learns kindness from the nerds” when that’s absolutely not how it would play out. Because they aren’t particularly kind either. Like, they’re not bad people but they’re notably also not good at social interactions or friendships. Richie, Ruth, Grace, even Pete (you’re not off the hook mr protagonist) all need their own character arcs along with Max for them to hold healthier relationships and be more secure in themselves. If you want a better redemption arc fic, it shouldn’t be the nerds enlightening Max, it should be everyone adapting to the new social climate that gives them each room to grow and become better people.

Men are from Mars, you murdered your wife!

PLOT TWIST OF THE CENTURY WHAT THE HELL
About to watch Spies Are Forever. I quite literally know nothing about this show besides the joke about Joey being shot by his love interests, so if the two main guys aren’t canon I’m going to commit a crime
QUICK!!! EVERYONE GIVE ME YOUR FAVORITE SNIGGLE HEADCANONS!!!
I'll go first: Pokey's sniggles have a fully developed sign language (because Pokey doesn't like it when others talk). It's super silly and super animated, some conversations looking more like dance numbers than actual conversations. They additionally have shortcuts to refer to each of the lords:
Pokey: The combined signs for "one" and "voice", which ends up looking like they're shushing you before extending their hand out from their mouth (like how sound would project from the mouth when speaking or singing)
Blinky: Effectively the dance that Blinky does during The Summoning, with the hands framing the eye.
Tinky: The combined signs for "time" and "space", which takes the form of like- stretching something out in your hands before squishing it back down, if that makes sense.
Nibbly: Making a big mouth with your hands and snapping it shut (a la the motion for "Daddy Shark" in Baby Shark).
Wiggly: Wiggling your fingers in front of your face to mimic his tentacles.
(Bonus -> Webby: The combined signs for "white" and "spider", which would be placing the hand palm down parallel to the ground [which is "white", palm up is black] before bending the fingers and "walking" the hand through the air like a spider)
There’s a lot of untapped potential with parental figures for Max. Obv we’ve seen Paul because he’s like. The most popular adult in Hatchetfield.
But have you considered Emma meeting Max through Paul, and being a better match for him because she was an edgy prick as a teenager, so she gets him in a way Paul can’t.
Or, less beneficially, Ted as an older brother figure. Maybe they could meet through Pete if Max has enough of a redemption to be friends-ish with him. I think Ted would also be way more understanding because Max is honestly just Ted but younger and more athletic. Simultaneous character arcs. Or maybe not maybe they’re just awful forever idk
If you wanna get into some LiB/PIEP shenanigans. You could go with Holloway! Tbh I haven’t seen NMT so I haven’t got much for this. But it seems interesting enough.
Or John! Max has to move out or hide from his dad after some inciting event. He gets sick of hopping around between houses of people who kind of don’t like him, so John(probably the only person without a grudge against him) takes him in. You got your classic troubled teen and emotionally closed-off adult pairing. Bonus points if Max is queer and that’s like the only emotional situation John is comfortable in because he dealt with it, too.
There’s so much! So much!
