I know I have not been posting as much, and that’s because I’ve decided that I’m not gonna drive myself insane trying to get a real following for fandom art, which unless you are selling your fanart, which I am not, is a purely recreational engagement. I am also going to give myself the freedom to shitpost somtimes as well, because I seem to have forgotten that this is in fact my blog, that I can post whatever I like on lol. Like, have any of you considered that Joel’s laugh at the end of wild life is the same laugh as jack from last kids on earth??? Like I heard it and was like immediately “is that jack lkoe?” (Idk if other people abbreviate it, that’s a long ass title I’m not typing that out lol) I’ve decided that I literally do not care how many notes I get anymore because willful ambivalence is better than extreme anxiety and burn out lol. So, I’ll still be taking art reqs and stuff, but expect a LOT more sketch pages, OCs, fanart for other fandoms, and long rambling paragraphs. Hopefully. Or I’ll vanish for months at a time. Who knows? The point is, this is a personal blog, so I want to use it more as a space to be. Just a person. Anyway, bye!

Joel, Joel, Joel. *shakes head sadly* You underestimate our power. Also I know this isn’t exactly how canon watcher lore works, (huge understatement lol), but I just figured the original intention was that we the viewers were the watchers so I kinda just rolled with that. We are annoying little eyeball ghosts who will pie you if you look away for a second lol. Anyway this silly comic took *checks notes* 3 and a half hours!? Wow why did I make this lol /silly im unreasonably proud of this stupid comic.

I was rewatching Joel’s esmp 1 because I wanted to. So I did a little drawing.

I am losing MY MIND from this interaction.

The fact that Joel still tries. He still tries to mend things. The fact that Tango kills him twice and all he has to say is the words of respect and encouragement. That he patches holes in his car, his HOME. That he welcomes Etho, that he will be with Gem until the end. The way he tries to survive his series on green, to be peaceful. HE TRIES SO HARD TO MEND IT. HE WAS IN EVERY SEASON. WORSE. HE KNOWS HOW ABSOLUTELY HOPELESS THEY ARE SOMETIMES. HE WAS THE PITIFUL ONE. IN THIRD LIFE HE BURNED. HE HAD THE SADDEST TIMES IN LAST LIFE. HE AND ETHO HAD THE MOST DRAMATIC STORY AFTER DIVORCE QUARTET IN DOUBLE LIFE. HE IS THE ONE WHO KEEPS DYING TO SCOTT, HE MAKES STUPID DECISIONS, HE MAKES ENEMIES.

But he still tries. He still has hope that if he just fix it one more time it will stay there if he looks away.
