Hey! We’re going to share with you some of our sims 3 gameplay tips:
1. Always save games while in “Map View”. Each time I save the game i always make sure to press M and save my game from the Map View. I can’t remember exactly where i found this or who suggested it to me but it has REALLY helped me with the game saving. Or maybe it’s just an illusion, either way it worked smoothly ever since. ( @simplyimaginarypeople : saving in Map view uses less RAM and sometimes prevents Error 12)
2. Always save games with “Save As”. Whenever it prompts the “Already existing town” just make sure you hit “replace”. Just like above, I can’t remember why or how but somehow it helped me avoid issues, endless loading screens and processing.
3. Make sure you always backup your game. And not only! Keep a backup of everything: CC, sims, files, pictures, library, videos everything you want to keep safe. Not sure what a backup is? Click here or here
4. Make sure you clean Cache files each time before you go in game. Not going in depth here on how or why, instead click this link , link 2 and if you have a Mac click here
5. Never keep Screenshots/ Videos in the documents folder. It will just slows down the game. Always move them somewhere safe.
6. Make sure your sims’ inventories are as clean as possible. Keeping too many items in the inventory can lead to some ugly bugs.
7. Suggested by @simplyimaginarypeople “Turn off memories in game. They pile up the Cache files and never delete properly even if you delete memories.
8. Use Nraas Master controller when your game is acting weird. Head over to the City Hall click Nraas Master controller and fiddle around with the settings: Reset Everything is the best option when your town is buggy. Another option would be to use Nraas Master Controller on a specific Lot to use Reset Lot, it does the same thing but resets one single lot. Always use the cheat “Resetsim *” to reset all the sims in the town. And cheat “resetsim SimFirstName SimLastName” to reset a certain sim that got stuck.
These are some of the tips that always helped me with my gameplay and i hope people will take note of them too from now on. Again, i can’t guarantee it will always work for you but you can always give them a try.

Custom Map Tags for NRaas Tagger
Hello all,
I was wanting to add some medieval map tags to my game recently, so I started with those. But then I was looking at the current available map tags on NRaas and realized they really don't match the look of the game much. So I decided to remake the ones that I use and add them to my new set. After I was done, I decided to share it with all of you.
So here it is, 29 new map tags to be used with NRaas Tagger.
Also, if anyone has any requests for Map Tags, please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

THIS IS MY SHOWWWWWWWW! First one I watched from the Chicago Series. Everyone NEEDS to watch this show along with Chicago Fire and Chicago Med 😃🤗❤️ Number 1 Fav character Along side Adam 🥰
Jesse Lee Soffer stars as Jay Halstead, a brash young detective in the NBC drama Chicago PD. Soffer’s acting career began at age 6 when he landed a Kix cereal commercial. At age 8, Soffer made his feature-film debut opposite John Goodman and Cathy Moriarty in Matinee. He also starred in the family drama Safe Passage, and as Bobby in both The Brady Bunch Movie and A Very Brady Sequel. On the television front, he was on the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen ABC sitcom Two of a Kind, the CBS serial Guiding Light, and the daytime drama As the World Turns, a role that earned him three consecutive Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series, as well as a Soap Opera Digest Award nomination for Outstanding Younger Lead Actor. Soffer also appeared in the film In Time, as well as in guest roles in CSI: Miami,The Mentalist and Rizzoli & Isles. We got the chance to ask him some questions about his life and career. Check it out:
Yes, definitely. But mostly is was spending time with Brian Luce our technical advisor when we started the show and him sending us on a couple ride alongs. He’s still with us day in and day out and he’s essentially the heartbeat of the show. You can feel him everywhere from the cops that are on set to even specific character choices that we make every day.
I’d talk to Jay and tell him to stop being an idiot and getting his boundaries mixed up and start listening to Voight more.
I have been enjoying seeing Voight and Jay trust each other a little more. I know that there’s riffs sometimes and they butt heads but the two respect each other and they’re definitely growing and have a mutual respect more and more because of it and that’s been a fun storyline to see play out.
Probably Season 1, I still have all the photos and video of accidentally kicking Patty in the nuts. He was suppose to be wearing a cup, it malfunctioned, we were gonna do it as a joke, and it went horribly awry.
Anytime we’re on set on location and it’s winter, everybody piles into Halstead’s truck to stay warm in between setups and usually hilarity ensues.
I remember watching the Terminator movies way too young as a kid and I’m sure that played a part in me liking the action genre.
I’d love to take a political science class from Susan Rice, or someone like that.
Coffee. Block scenes. Eat snacks. More coffee. Shoot scenes. Putt. Shoot scenes. Putt. Shoot scenes. Get hangry. Shoot scenes. Eat lunch. Shoot more scenes. Putt. Shoot more scenes. I have a putting matt in the bullpen to work on my short game.
Who you are: I don’t know! You can’t fit me in a bubble.
What I value the most: Friends and family.
Food Item: Thanksgiving Dinner
Watch the fall finale to find out!
Thanks for taking the time, Jesse! Tune in to the finale of Chicago PD, tonight at 10/9c on NBC.
😂😂🤣
So I found this program on my computer: s3rc redux, and decided to run all my packages through it (not mods, poses or sliders). It reduced my CC by 7.5GB without me deleting anything. All items still work so far, although I haven’t checked all functionality.
But if someone wants to reduce their CC easily, then I have uploaded the s3rc here, as the original here is down. Just drag and drop .packages (and sims3packs) onto it :D
But backup just in case!
So you might all realize that skins are probably the biggest files you have in game. This is because they usually contain a load of HQ images.
BUT
Most people don’t know that when using Skininator, you need to “Compact Save” not “Save”. What this does, is if your skintone uses the same image for dark and light, or the same images for teen/YA/A/E, instead of saving the image multiple times, it only saves one copy, and then links to that picture for the rest.
This saves A LOT of space!
So if you wanna quickly reduce CC, then just open all your skins in Skininator one by one, and press “Compact Save”, then open the next. I saved around 2-3GB doing this!
This probably won’t make your game load much faster, but it is still worth it.

Hey!
I got an i9 12th gen laptop and my sims 3 still won’t work after the patch. It will occasionally load to a totally black screen, finish loading but remain black, and then other times it will show a black screen and then just perpetually hang with the windows loading arrow and never start. Most commonly though it crashes altogether, after about 2 seconds if it’s in full screen it always crashes. Tried applying the patch a few times and no dice. Might try installing the origin version and see if that works
Hi!
Hmm, interesting. You could try setting the launcher to 1 CPU in the task manager and launch the game through the launcher. That miight do it? You can then change the affinity back to normal on the game when it's already loaded.
Another way for your kiddies to have fun too. Thank you @misspats3 💙
MissPat mod notes:
Why this mod
We were chatting on Discord about cute features from TS4 Toddler Stuff Pack, that we wish existed in TS3. “Play dates” came to mind. Renlyna surprised us all when she said:
Quote: I did have a townie mother once call my active household’s mother up and ask if her kids could come over for a play date and I clicked yes and within a few minutes the townie mother came to my sims home with all her kids. I didn’t even know that was possible in The sims 3 and I have no idea how it was triggered. It was so random.
The above scenario never ever happened in my game. (It turns out it’s a feature that came along one of the Generations EP patches.)
I was curious to see if something could be tweaked to trigger the play dates more. When I looked up the game’s code, I found the tuning file related to play dates. I made changes and tested the new tuning files for 3 sim weeks. The testing was successful, so here goes - enjoy the mod.
I tuned the minimum relationship down to “5” to account for the natural relationship decrease between two sims over time. So if your active parent and child start as aquaintances to townies at “20”, then overtime, they will still get the playdate requests on week-ends, even if the relationship is way down to “5”.
Play dates Insights
While testing the mod I could gather the following insights:
The play date feature seems to only affect child-aged sims. I looked up closely and no toddlers are mentioned in the play dates code. If the townie parent comes along with toddlers to your sims’ play date, great! But it is not by design. It would likely require script modding to intentionally include toddlers in the play date scenario.
If after accepting the play date, the townie parent shows up alone sans his/her children, do not panic (like I did)! Townie children enrolled in a school with week-end hours will not show up. Indeed, the custom schools provided by the “Schools” module of Nraas Careers require kids to attend classes on Saturday and Sunday by default. You will need to enroll townie children in EA’s default school or tune the days of custom schools, to get these townie children to show up at your play dates.
I had no problems getting townies to request play dates on Saturday, often in the morning. To trigger play date requests on Sundays however, I had to quit the game on Saturday evening or Sunday morning. When I’d restart the game after that, I’d systematically get a play date request on the Sunday afternoon. In the play dates code, there is a line called “clear statistics”, and I can only assume that somehow, it takes reloading the game to clear data generated by the Saturday play date, so that a townie play date request can be renewed on Sunday.

TUTORIAL OVER MAKING CUSTOM SIMS 3 PAINTINGS:
Okay y’all, here’s my first tutorial. I broke it down barney style for those who have never worked with the programs before, so forgive me if you’re more advanced. I wanted anyone to be able to follow this. [Forgive my background noise, I have a sensitive mike and a 4 year old who doesn’t understand the meaning of quiet yet lol]
If you have any questions - See that I missed a step - or can think of a better way to improve the process, PLEASE let me know! I hope this helps.
