My favourite thing John Waters has ever said I think about it every day
A reminder to the "the American government wouldn't..." crowd. They have. They have made their own internment camps before. They have rounded up innocent citizens and immigrants before. The victims of which are still alive to this day and trying to share their stories with the world, they have been trying to warn us for a long time. George Takei (as seen above) is a famous example of this. He has written about his experiences time and time again, even publishing a book talking about his time in these camps. He may be famous now, but at the time he was just another kid forced from his home. To this day he still firmly dedicates himself to trying to educate and inform people, trying to spread awareness with his platform. The American Government can and will do terrible things. Do not let anyone convince you otherwise.

I'm so fucking sick of young women having to reveal the terrible abuse that happened to them for all the world to see, to finally believe them. And then to turn around and see the only response is "oh no my favorite (whatever) is ruined!! I can't believe another man I idolized without knowing at all turned out to be a predator!! Woe is meeee!!!! How can I read/watch/listen to anything ever again!!!"
Girl shut the fuck up. Why is this about you and your feelings??? Why is it ALWAYS about you???? And then, why is it NEVER about you learning a fucking lesson, to stop idolizing men you DON'T KNOW??? The men you think you know- from their tweets, interviews, writings, what have you- ARE PERSONAS curated by these men and their PR teams to mass appeal to their targeted audience. Quit falling for the same shit over and over again, and acting surprised when it inevitably happens.
Also, if the first thought you think when yet another famous man turns out to be a fucking monster is "oh no, how will I be able to indulge in whatever he made in the past now?!?" you are a self centered piece of shit. Women are walking around branded as their victims for the rest of their lives, usually at the detriment to their career, and sometimes even their personal peace. They had to detail their trauma to some random journalist and had to provide "receipts" so y'all would even consider believing them. Many of them won't ever reveal these awful men that plague every aspect of society, let alone fame, because now women are getting sued left and right SUCCESSFULLY for daring to alert the public of these fucking parasites.
All these people and organizations are focusing solely on Gaiman, renouncing their past interactions with him and refusing to work with him in the future. I haven't seen one "these women were so brave to come out about their abuse", "we sincerely hope the victims are receiving adequate care to improve their healing journeys", or "we will be donating all further proceeds of (Gaiman property) to women's shelters." Still it's about THEM and THEIR reputations.
It's never about the victims. Ever.
This woman was arrested for WORDS.
We should rally for her as much as the guy who actually shot someone. Push back.
The whole "boy cat" thing is so annoyingggggg your cats gender has nothing to do with how they feel about you i literally cannot imagine being so brain rotted by patriarchy that you somehow think your neutered male cat has special male love for you that female cats don't have the capacity for. Is there something wrong with you
