I’m so goddamn glad Hunter and the Emerald Entrails met the way they did and he made an actual friend group though of course the show would only focus on Gus and Willow but they all also had small bits of spotlight too in Any Sport in A Storm and Labyrinth Runners. and Gus really did go on his Life changing field trip with Hunter. He too, got some of the trauma, but ig its more reliving trauma and he got through it in the episode. I like how this time, Hunter wasn’t the only one who needed help, he actually is actively helping others now. We got to see him work through his trauma, and I’m really glad he used his own experience to help Gus. And they both laughed at the end too sisvajhaiab

Hunter being like "Hey don't worry, we can play flyer derby on our one day off! The thing that bonded us together!" but he really forgot the many reasons why they can't even do that in the emperor's coven (Steve reminding him that the emperor collects palismen, he has to hide his from belos, the fact he even MADE FRIENDS with kids his age) may I quote "you really don't think things through, do you?"

The process of Hunter trying to comprehend what he’s being shown omg. He’s actively putting himself down so that he can try and make up a reason to keep Belos in the good light. And we can see he still had quite a lot of pride in knowing things, bragging about his own knowledge on mindscapes (whatever theyre called) and now he’s saying maybe he doesn’t know anything about them. Anything just to help him have some reasons for Belos to still be “good.”

But then again, even this is super flawed, “maybe he’s remembering things wrong” well WHY WOULD HIS BRAIN TRY TO MAKE UP MEMORIES OF HIM SETTING THE TOWN ON FIRE. You can see the breakdown of logic and everything oh god the writing is just so good
