The age of the dragon seemed like a distant memory as the fire guardian stood witness to the RUIN of the temple. He had nearly given up all hope to rebuild when he had met SPYRO. The very dragon prophesied to do extraordinary things had given the guardian something he never thought he would experience again - hope, a second chance. Despite the purple dragon's disappearance, he could not abandon his gift.
Wingbeats overheard robbed the fire guardian's from his thoughts. Half expecting one of the guardians, Ignitus turned his gaze skyward. White scales...? Even from a distance, the guardian knew it wasn't CYRIL. The guardian stood frozen as the strange dragon landed before him. He blinked, staring blankly for a moment, his mind struggling to catch up before he finally snapped back to reality. 〝 You picked a bad time to visit, friend. 〞 His words were shrouded in what little HUMOUR he managed to muster up. 〝 but what can I do for you? 〞
the pout that dominates his countenance is more playful than it is anything else. lance is up - stretching onto his toes as he presses both of his palms flat against his beautiful girl’s maw. “don’t give me that look.” lance pleads ; blinking heavily before breaking stance. “i really need to think about what i say before i actually say it, huh.” he muses. huffs & then promptly lets his head drop forward. defeated. “do you think i made him mad?” a pause - a consideration. “well, madder?”

An UNSPOKEN agreement, the lioness would lend her paladin a listening ear for his troubles. Whatever her paladin needed, she would provide. Amused, she gently probed her paladin's mind with the lure of soothing purrs. Though in AGREEANCE - she aimed to comfort him.

The same despair that threatened to consume him, hiding like a coward amongst the mushroom trees and caves, away from his failures. With Spyro's disappearance, it felt like the red dragon had FAILED once more. He couldn't let the darkness control him once more, he couldn't give up on Spyro. The ANCESTORS shall look after him, keep him safe. In the meantime, Ignitus did the best he could in the war against the darkness.
The guardian of fire adorned in his old armor for the first time in ages, REBORN anew after hours of polishing. Trekking through the swamp, he continued his search. SECURITY, patrolling due to the temple's weakened defenses, all lies he told himself, to convince he was not searching for the purple dragon. That was until the snapping of a twig robbed the dragon from his thoughts, orange eyes falling upon a small creature who managed to sneak up on the guardian. Curious, he lowered his head to get a better look. 〝 It is not safe out here, friend, 〞
“ cole... ” the blue ninja was taken back by that. how long was his best friend feeling like this? “ hey, look. you mean the world to me, all right? you're important to me. even if you do steal my pudding pots and ignore the fridge rules. ”
he reached out, a comforting hand on the earth ninja's shoulder, sending him a brief wink of support. “ turn that frown upside down, show me that winning smile, that smile that deserves a good tasty cake, cooooole~ ”

Whether it be the off to the MOUNTAINS of Ninjago or the gym, he found SOLACE in pushing his body to the limit. It was no surprise that the master of earth was found in his makeshift gym, resting on one of the jump boxes, a barbell loaded with all the plates he could find waiting on the platform nearby.
The black ninja didn't look up as he spoke, chocolate eyes trained at the wooden floor below. A soft sigh escaped his lips, brows furrowing as the blue ninja spoke. 〝 I know... it's just... 〞 He spoke softly, ending with a huff, frustrated by not being able to place the words. He KNEW that, he knew all the ninja cared about him yet.. it didn't stop the thoughts from creeping in. The fear of being FORGOTTEN. A hand resting upon his shoulders pulled him from his spiraling thoughts, brown eyes finally looking up to the ninja. He hadn't notice his own hand snaking up to rest on Jay's, giving him a gentle squeeze. 〝 Never mind, forget it, 〞
As much as his SOURED mood fought against the smile forming, Cole couldn't help it. His defenses weakened against Jay's teasing. Oh and CAKE? He could use a sweet treat.. 〝 wanna go get ice cream? 〞

Yet, it had to be done. Most of the earth guardian's time was spent rebuilding the dragon temple. First the grotto, then the training area, the library, and lastly the guardians' quarters. 〝 Come Cynder, 〞 The earth dragon beckoned her to follow him. 〝 I have something to SHOW you. 〞
