you know what destroys me when i think about it too much? aot high school caste au. ngl it cheers me up usually because its so damn funny.. but then i get sad when i think about the fact the caste version of the characters is what they could’ve and SHOULD’VE been if they weren’t forced into such devastating lives in the original canonverse. LIKE OKAY LISTEN… the fact goth mikasa is so whimsical and ditsy instead of the fierce and realistic canon au mikasa is basically isayama telling us that “haha mikasa could’ve had the chance to actually daydream like a normal teenage girl and explore her femininity lol” baby mikasa in the OVA’s was so innocent and airheaded, SHE COUD’VE CONTINUED BEING A NORMAL GIRLLL 😞😞😞 AND nerd armin in the caste au being so unaware of his surroundings and actually having the chance to indulge in living out his teen years in a life where he could focus on his interests.
