Working a little New Year's prosperity magic....
Twisted spider. (at Colorado Renaissance Festival)
Today my stepdaughter said she was talking to a friend of hers when this friend told her, "Your parents' house smells like a witch's house." We use a lot of various essential oils around our house, and we make our own kombucha tea and water kefir. We don't use any synthetic scents in any of our washing or personal grooming or cleaning supplies. I don't know how much experience this friend has with witches' dwellings, but she clearly has an idea of what she thinks they SHOULD smell like. And apparently, it's us. And, you know, I'm okay with that.
P in my pants.
I want a house with a basement that looks like this.

The idea of living in a tower has appealed to me for a long, long time. This is absolutely amazing! If I can't live there, can I at least go visit?
A couple of weeks ago I bought a 1959 Canon P rangefinder. A couple of days ago or so my lens arrived: A nearly mint condition Jupiter-8 (50mm f2.0 Zeiss Sonnar clone) from 1956. Test roll this weekend, photos to follow!
My new X-kilt, rear. This was made for me by a very talented pair of teenage seamstresses, and I was very happy with the results. Sherwood Celtic Festival, 2013.
Creamy tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich...about a thousand calories, but soooo good!
