Yong headcanons and thoughts!!! If I may!!

YONG my PRECIOUS

-he has a lot of running jokes with himself. this comes from being overlooked a lot as a kid (you have to be your own source of entertainment when people don’t want to play with you), but it eventually just became part of his nature. these running jokes include making the most diabolically sexual comments and then blinking innocently when the rest of the group whirls around to look at him. “what? does that mean something?” they are his puppets and he is their master.

-he gets eczema sometimes. varian made some olay-worthy lotion for him.

-very musically talented! hand him any instrument and he’ll make a little ditty within a couple minutes.

-he thinks varian’s the coolest, hugo is the most suave, and nuru is the most wise. then he witnesses varian spend five minutes trying to extricate his boot from a hole it got stuck in without realizing that he can use his chemicals. and then he sees hugo go bright red when varian gets fed up and scoops him off the ground, slinging him over his shoulder. then he watches nuru realize she was holding her map upside down for the last forty minutes and discreetly adjust it. then he comes to the conclusion that he, yong, is the team leader.

-certified bug lover. he will pick up a cicada and present it to hugo, who will yelp and smack it out of his hand. this cycle will repeat with more and more frightening bugs. yong is using his innocent face, but he revels in hugo’s terror.

-one of the proudest days of his life was when he made a joke that had the other three in hysterics, even hugo.

-his main love language is quality time, then words of affirmation :D

Obviously Donella and Cyrus are the two main people Hugo worked with, basically being his family, but I feel like some other soldiers would be pretty good friends with Hugo and they alongside sometimes Cyrus (though he's got a bit more of an important job than regular soldiers) would teach Hugo things Donella couldn't if she was to busy, like how to cook or sew

Not saying Donella wouldn't do this, but I can imagine her being at least a little neglectful of Hugo, and some soldiers might take pity on him

Can't wait until I start properly planning vat7k and then suddenly everything will make sense and not be a jumble of plot holes in my brain

I actually never want Disney to make vat7k a reality. The reason I love vat7k so much is because I can treat the characters like my own, do whatever I want with them and the story, and expand on them in ways Disney could probably never. One of the creators of vat7k, Kay, even said that they much prefer the concept being in the hands of the fandom. The vat7k fandom is one of my favourite places, because since there's no canon, everyone can share ideas and art. It's the only fandom I think I've ever been in (not that I've been in many) that truly acts like a community and I love that. I feel like as much as vat7k could save Disney, there's a good chance they'd ruin the story by making the characters one-dimensional or something. For example, mom-friend Nuru or Yong being 'dumb and childish'. I don't know if this makes any sense but yeah these are my opinions

So this is just a fun, silly challenge week to celebrate our favorite Disney rejected ship with no limits or rules. EXCEPT FOR THIS ONE!

I ask- nay, I implore you to PLEASE DO NOT USE AI FOR THIS! The whole point is to show your love for these silly little gay scientists and just using a computer takes all the heart out of it. It dosnt matter if you don't think your good at creating, whatever quick doodle or cheesy fanfic is a hundred times better than whatever a computer can come up with. Please, I promise everyone will love it just don't use the fucking computer.

Anyways, yeah this doesn't really have any other rules, just to have fun. The dates are June 8th through June 14th and you don't have to make something for everyday (but that's why I post this a few months in advance to give people time to prepare) so absolutely no pressure, just do as much as you feel like doing and you can do absolutely whatever you want to participate like fanart, fanfic, cosplay, animatics or anything else you can come up with, it's free game people!

i love varigo. i also hate them so so bad. And not like in a loving way like i genuinely hate them sometimes because im tired of them taking over the tts fandom when they literally ARENT REAL. but also i love them and im obsessed with them and they make me sick and i love nuru and yong and theyre my ocs and if everyone doesnt appreciate them as much as i do ill kill everyone in this room and then myself. i love vat7k conceptually and for what its become because the way its brought people together i think is truly what modern fandom was always meant to be. i love seeing all you guys especially younger teens who are new to fandom all just coming together in a little sandbox to play toys together. it also drives me crazy sometimes because your drama is absolutely absurd and makes me want to tear my hair out. the vat7k fandom is like the little cousin i love so so dearly but pretend im not related to in public. i love you guys. i admire you. Im highkey afraid of you. i fear that every day varian and vat7k slowly inches closer to the mainstream and this actually terrifies me because the consequences of this escaping containment would be catastrophic. I want everyone to share the joy of this group project but also we need to keep it locked up forever for the good of humanity. vat7k is like pandoras box. i hope one day ill see varian and hugo cosplayers at a convention because ill cry tears of joy and also despair. Am I the only one who finds it odd that Rapunzel not only resembles Hugo but also Ulla? Not just in appearance or personality, but all three are people Varian grew to love (in different ways) who, in one way or another, ended up hurting him. It's as if the poor guy were cursed...
