JUST LISTENED TO THE OUTSIDERS MUSICAL CAST RECORDING. IF I DONT GET TICKETS TO FLY TO NEW YORK AND WATCH IT ON BROADWAY, THEN IMA KYM.

It's sooooo good!!! The music hits differently. I have never heard a musical that's like, southern. Yeah, there's Waitress and all, but that's classic Broadway with a southern accent. THE OUTSIDERS, however, has like a popy style, but still has a twange, while still being very Broadway!!!!!

If i had a nickle for a show or movie that i see where most of the kids that we see are either troublesome criminals or hoods. Kids that come from bad (neglectful, abusive, manipulative) parents a struggling with the situation that they are in. All of them mostly have no education with little to no money to spare. And the whole plot is mostly centered around leaving the town they grew up in, and living somewhere better. Meanwhile another group of people grew up rich and happy, constantly shoves it in other peoples faces.

I’m listening to The Outsiders Musical cast recording and I was not expecting it to be so gay. Like, Pony and Johnny sing about how they want to get a house together to watch sunsets and work on a garden with each other. And then in another song they sing “The reason I’m living is you/ Wherever you go/ That’s where I’ll be/ Even if death tags along/ I don’t mind there is still you and me.” And then proceed to sing about how they will never leave the other alone

I don’t even ship Johnny and Ponyboy but those lyrical choices are just so gay
