Ugh please join the fandom, it’s so good and I’d gladly obsess over it with you. Also, you’ll definitely fall in love with the characters, they are so well written and amazing!!

y spelling bee needs a bigger fucking fandom

its a damn good show with jokes and emotions

the characters are rlly good and pretty developed and VERY relatable 

but since the setting doesnt change we only see these characters in one environment

so theres a lot the fandom can do to write the characters in new scenarios

also we see them as tweens and then hear about them grown up at the end so its really fun to think about them in high school, college, etc

and we hear about their parents and some of them we do see but theres a lot of potential for development there as well

also they arent shown interacting as much with each other in long intervals but the short bits of interaction we do see are interesting enough to enjoy elaborating upon

so in summary the show has great characters that are so fun to flesh out but very few people seem interested in this and i would love seeing ppl join me on this

This week is gonna be weird because I’m going to an overnight camp but I still want to be on tumblr but like... I won’t have any time, but also when I do have time I’m going to be holding in my tears of laughter and trying not to quote anything because it’s a Christian theater camp😂

Okay so let’s talk about hogwarts house stereotypes

So let’s jump right in and say that, as my username states, I’m a Hufflepuff. Now, Hufflepuffs are generally viewed as the little babies who are to innocent for this world. Not true. Personally, people have told me they think I’m every other house. I can be sneaky, bold, or wise. That doesn’t mean that I’m not a Hufflepuff though. Think about it though, a common room in the basements, right by the kitchens, and nobody ever suspects a Hufflepuff. We’d be going crazy. Now, that’s not saying we can’t be like the stereotype because we definitely can, but a lot of us aren’t(think of Tonks and Cedric for example).

Onto Gryffindor. They are generally shown as the brash heroes and are either loved or hated. But like, think about all the Gryffindors we see and their variety of personalities. We have the golden trio, the twins, 2/3 of the silver trio, etc. and they all have different personalities and values. Gryffindors are actually pretty cool and for more reasons than being viewed as the typical ‘cool kids’.

Next, Slytherin. This is a big one and it’s even stated by multiple characters that Slytherins are seen as evil, but they’re not. My best friend is a Slytherin and she is far from evil. They are sly, resourceful, ambitious, etc. but it is never stated that they have to be evil. Slytherins are honestly pretty awesome and we are just shown a lot of biases in the book.

Finally, Ravenclaws. They are amazing. They aren’t all stuck up nerds or The Mom Friend ™. Think of Luna, 1/3 of the silver trio. She uses a completely different thinking process than most and is in the ‘smart house’. You compare her to Cho and see there are so many types of Ravenclaws. Gilderoy Lockhart was a Ravenclaw, but you don’t see people steryotyping our dear eagles as him. They are also very diverse and that should be recognized more.
