Hi there! I'm putting this post out because I'm a full-time student unable to gain employment here due to our university preventing me from getting a job (under risk of expulsion).
I live in South Asia (Pakistan) and the area I live in has been getting pretty worse with regards to queer people.
I'm pretty sure I'm at risk of getting outed at my university department because of certain questions targeted at me recently by a supervisor who thinks that people like us should be put to death.
I'm a PharmD candidate and I'm hoping to apply to UofT, UWaterloo, and two more places (probably Saskatchewan so I can stay with my cousin). If I get accepted, I'm getting out of here by May-June and hopefully will be in a safer place.
If I can even apply for one or two, that's more than enough! I'd appreciate it so much!!
I'm not the best at art, but I wouldn't mind doing some silly little commissions if you'd like, and I also take writing commissions (details to come). I also have a Redbubble shop that'll go live soon. Until then, please support me!
Here's my: p*yp*l

Hi it’s werelivingarts and I’m back with some unique tips on learning foreign languages. I love learning Mandarin and Korean, and my foreign friends absolutely love it when I try to speak with them. ✨
Learning languages is tough but really fun. Remember that you need to set goals, such as by the end of today, I will finish studying the alphabet, not the simple “getting fluent” goal. It’s okay when things you first say are gibberish because you will certainly get better by learning your mistakes.
Here are just some extra weird ways to help you learn: ● Use region-specfic social media (Weibo for Chinese, Kakao Talk for Korean, etc) ● Narrate in other languages as you commute (e.g. the mysterious man who wears brown cap-toe Oxfords just get his cats turn left and is now entering the supermarket) ● Read newspaper and magazine ● Change your phone language ● Get help from your native speaker friends ● Take notes in other languages
P/s: Do you have any useful methods to learn foreign languages? If yes, please share it down here 🤩⬇️
where/how do you store all of your journals? i see that you have quite a few! p.s. i would love to hear about your different types of journals! xx
At the moment they're in a very chaotic pile in top of our bookcase! My granddad has kept a diary every year of his life since about 1970 and keeps them all neatly arranged on one shelf in the back bedroom, whenever I see them I think: that’s what I want in future. Just to put them all in one place. I would like to have a dedicated shelf for them all one day but we're low on space and as I'm always using them it seemed easier to keep them in reach.
This is about half, the other half are in a drawer at my parents’ house still: x3 undergraduate notes from lectures (one per year), x1 undergraduate poetry dissertation/portfolio notes, x4 postgraduate degree notebooks, some diaries, scripts and plays and stories I wrote as a child, pictures I drew, and planners from my school years. I keep all these things, I don’t know what for.
I see this post about having one book per year from 2017 copied aaaall the time now which is kind of funny.
The half I have here is notes from meetings and projects to do with my day-job; diary-type stream-of-consciousness writing; notes from what I call ‘pre-phd research’ (academically inclined nonsense basically); I keep commonplace books and sketch books too. I probably have a problem with keeping too many and could do with slimming down but I love the feeling of a fresh notebook so much. : - )

wear your favourite outfit with your tallest shoes. order that ridiculous drink and ask the server to add espresso. run that extra mile and see the river. make your favourite breakfast and add more flavour. clean your room with ghibli music in the background. do your homework with your feet on your desk. live life to its fullest extent, but don't push off your responsibilities. find your balance. dont settle for mediocre. take care.
welcome to the community! i hope you have a lovely time with us :))
