Page 2! I hope to get out page 3 sooner than this one. This page would have actually be done ealier, but I couldn't decide on color scheme for the next scene for a while.
If anyone is wondering, this takes place around late 1800s to early 1900s in Poland. I haven't decided on exact date and it's not overly important, but it does play a role in why ShadowClan wants to move from the city.
Sorry the pages are taking so long, had and still have several things on my head (finished second year of uni, had to find a work place for practice in which I have to spend 8 hours a day, entered artfight and broke my glasses, without which I cannot even see my laptop).
But I will start working on the page today the moment I will be done with work.

Sorry it took so long to finish this. I was honestly surprised how I managed to do the rest of the page in one day.
In the background we can see bunch of other ShadowClan cats, specifically two young warriors named Tallcloud and Viperleap (white cat and orange cat that were sleeping) and two mature/ageing warriors, Tigerbelly (the one on top of the wall) and Morningbird (the ginger one guarding). I will upload one of these guys refs during the time between this page and the next one. Likely Viperleap and Tallcloud will be first. I also should probs do some kind of alleginces in form of headshots, but the problem with ShadowClan is that they currently have very loose membership requirements, so many cats don't even live in the camp. Maybe I'll just do the ones that will follow Spottedstar to the forest, dunno.
Author's Note Here is lore for my new clangen playtrough. Im sorry for not continuing Spottedstar's Reign as I should, I just lack motivation for it. Lore is based on a real lake. Points to those who guess which lmao. The only hit I will give is that it's in Poland. Regardless, this thing absorbed me and Im having fun writing stories based on these little pixel guys. Note though, ShoreClan is not currently being played. Three clans is already a lot, and I still need to decide how I tackle the missing clan.
Once, the lake was a river. But just like the seasons change, so the unknowable whims of twolegs.
There were sings years before The Flood began. It started with those most sensitive to the ancestors and omens beggining to feel constanly uneasy. With seasons it progressed into unclear visions and then dreams. Dreams of water, drowning, serpents devouring each other. Alongside that, new twolegs began showing up with increasing frequency, seemingly frustrating the ones that already lived by the rivers. And they began constructing something. A wall so tall it nearly rivaled the hills around.
Reading the clear warnings and guided by their ancestors, the leaders of four Clans decided to leave, before the disaster could strike. And just as they did, the water level began rising.
It was not an easy time. Some cats died, exploring a mostly unknown terrain and trying to figure out how far they should go. Conflict between long time rivals, FalconClan and MossClan did not help. Their hatered run so deep no one could unearth the roots of it. LindenClan tried to keep the peace. After a failed attempt at resolving the conflict that resulted in another bloody battle in which several lives were lost, ShoreClan's leader finally had enough. He gathered his cats and left the Clans, proclaiming that ShoreClan will not share their doomed fate. Since that day, no one saw ShoreClan ever again.
A vision came. A dying hawk in the snow. When it breathed it's last breath, a spring came. Linden's sapling grew. Falcons soared above. Moss quietly grew in the warm shadow of a forest. And just as was foretold, when Hawkstar of FalconClan lost his last life, spring has arrived. And so, the age of Serpent River was no more, and the age of Serpent Lake began.
MossClan Rivals to FalconClan. The feud is generations long and keeps getting reignited ever so often. The roots of it have been forgotten. MossClan claim to be the oldest group, with great sages of the past long traveling to the river in a great migration. They believe in magic, the power of futuresight in their ancestors and omens. They can be quite superstitious, but arent beyond reason. Instead of mourning, they celebrate deaths, believeing that those who die, become something greater after death. Some only respect those who died in their elder years, but the belief overall is that even someone dying young can gain knowleadge and guide cats to avoid early death. So the living cats pray to kits who died young for safety of their newborns, apprentices pray to other apprentices to avoid trouble etc. Generally, living to old age is both a privilage and the highest achievement for the cat.
FalconClan Rivals to MossClan, they have a long history of wars and hostility, despite being considered the youngest group. Falcons are war-like, great fishers and swimmers. They only accept strong loner and rogues, who can hunt. They don't believe in prophecies, but still respect the dead, leaving them gifts at the graves and singing songs of great battles. Falcons also believe their ancestors can warn them, but its strictly in present time. They see Mosses as crazy religious lunatics who constantly excuse their atrocities with either prophecy or ancestors will.
LindenClan The largest clan, territory and numbers wise far exceeding the others. They are historians who focuse on bloodlines and accurate retellings. They have a special rank that focuses on that, though all cats are encourage to contribute and help the lore masters. They are also lead by a dynastic rule. Eldest child inherits leader's position and the leader typically becomes mentor of their heir. They can be seen as quite nosy and treat borders more loosely. Some used it to cause harm, so LindenClan put stricter rules on permission to cross borders.
ShoreClan Mysterious fourth clan, who left the alliance, believing the others would lead to their ventual doom. Back when they still lived close, they were known to be a clan of loners and house cats, living closest to twolegs. Their rank structure resembled more a colony than a clan, the leaders often being either the oldest female or male with the most mates and kits. Despite that, they were not a dynastic rule. Those popular or dominant within the clan often being chosen for deputy more by the clan cats than the leader. In general, the concept of deputy was far more undefined and fluid. Only in recent times they began attempting to more regulate the voting system and ranks. This was not easy, trail and error lead to internal conflicts and civil war, which traumatized many within ShoreClan. LindenClan historians believe this trauma resulted in ShoreClan's negative attidtude towards other Clans that lead to their departure.
Anybody has their brain so rotted by Warrior Cats that every time they see a full moon they are like "Ah yes, tonight is The Gathering."
Because I sure do...

Page 1 is done! I hate buildings lol. Next time Im using blender or minecraft. Idk why but nature comes more easily. Maybe because its more chaotic.
NAMES: Gnarlkit, Gnarlpaw, Gnarlpelt, Gnarlstar GENDER: Cis Female GROUP: MossClan ROLE: Leader BIRTH MOON: - 101 BAFE (8.5 years BAFE) DEATH MOON: N/A PERSONALITY: Gnarlstar is a gloomy and clever teacher. She can be quite strict and brush off feelings as something that can be ignored in face of greater good. She is quite pessimistic when it comes to cats, but trusts her clanmates enough. Gnarlstar is not kind to those disabled by life, as once her deputy lost a leg she began to look for replacement, believing him to be incapable of being leader. But at the same time, as she aged, she grew distrustful and spiteful, feeling jelous of her once-candidate for new deputy. As an elderly leader, she sits mostly in her den, giving orders and watching her clanmates. She wasn't very loving mother, but was attentive and raised her daughter to be a clever and useful warrior. There was no need for love. They are all only leaves and branches in this large tree of life, and individual will is meaningless in the large scheme of things. Still, it is no excuse to slack off.
HISTORY: Gnarlkit, along with her littermate Dogkit were born in MossClan. While Dogkit was exiteable, Gnarlstar was more withdrawn and rational. They both were excellent and talented apprentices who never got in trouble.
Gnarlpelt was an excellent teacher, she kept discipline tight and taught her apprentices the skills they needed to survive as well as often quizzing them to make sure their minds stayed sharp. She was strict, but mostly fair.
As leader, she was strict and closed off to other clans, even LindenClan who often offered aid. She wanted her clan to be independent and didn't trust Lindens generosity, believing there is a hidden motive behind their good mask. Her attitude lead to increased conflicts with MossClan's longtime rival, FalconClan.
One of those wars took place after the clans setteled in new territories. Gnarlstar grew paranoid by careless actions taken by warriors of FalconClan. She decided to attack first, constantly bickered with Miststar and even spat in the young leader's face. Gnarlstar only ceased her open antagonism once a former house cat turned warrior Gravelgrain died in a battle, crushed by tree. It was a clear sing StarClan was displeased.
Right after, a young warrior named Ridgecrest, whom Gnarlstar trusted more than other cats had kits with FalconClan's healer, Paleswan. Instead of keeping the kits, she gave them to their father, which enraged Gnarlstar. She felt betrayed by a warrior who had so much potential. She exiled the molly.
After the war ended, Gnarlstar ordered her cats to look for a certain molly, who left her kit several moons ago in MossClan, because she couldn't take care of it. The cat named Rose was found and invited to the clan. There, she was renamed Rosestripe. Gnarlstar grew to like and respect the molly at first, but grew jelous of the popularity Rosestripe had. She was not only pretty, but also loyal and unafraid. On impulse, Gnarlstar tried to make her relationship worse with other cats, but this failed. Not only she was liked, but also several cats, including Gnarlstar's own grandson had romatic feelings for the ginger molly.
Gnarlstar withdrew into her den, unsure what to do. The only cat she found comfort was Newtburn, in her mind the only cat who stayed loyal to her…. Whom she grew to love romantically. Another cat she grew to trust was Storkmeadow, an orphan found with her siblings by their dead mother and adopted by the Clan. This young molly took her duties seriously and always helped other cats out, impressing Gnarlstar. She only hopes that Storkmeadow will be able to train up a good warrior before Gnarlstar herself looses her last life. Thankfully, a warrior named Bullfinchwing had kits around the time, which gives the leader perfect oppurtunity to test the molly. When Sunstar, new leader of LindenClan, accidentally tresspassed onto MossClan territory, Gnarlstar threw a fit and refused to back down from antagonizing LindenClan because of this. It did not matter that LindenClan has been recently shaken by a boar attack that killed two warriors and two kits, and it did not matter that LindenClan was not in any way antagonistic in past years. As if sent by StarClan, Gnarlstar got a heatstroke around the time, which allowed Spiderweb, MossClan's healer, to handle the situation. Thankfully, LindenClan understood and held no major grudge.
Gonna retcon some ages. I made cats too old for what I had in mind, because I applied (probably misunderstood) house cat ageing to them.
While not fully wrong, I still think I overshoot it. Hopefully I won't undershoot as well.
Thinking about making a Warrior Cats comic about my ocs. Unsure about that cuz Im focused on uni and fully original story, but when Im burnt out on original stuff I could work on that. Maybe, idk.
Anyways, here is Patchcloud, a healer focused more on the herbal and healing aspect rather than spiritual. She has a rather weak connection with StarClan, never recieving any kind of omens, even minor ones. She relies on her instinct and knowleadge instead, though she does not doubt StarClan's existance. She simply tries not to think about them much, even when adhearing to traditions and rituals.
She is reserved and prefers to focus on work, even during free time. While appearing grumpy, she is not, she is a realist and doesn't like lying directly, though withholding truth isn't beyond her, especially when someone doesn't listen. She is generally calm and even during stressful situations is capable of holding herself. Born to ShadowClan-allied stray and a kittypet, she tended to remain on the outskirts of the Clan, until her apprenticeship to current healer at the time, who turned out to also have a weak connection to StarClan (him being born a raised a stray until joining) and he was the only comfort she had in when it came to anxiety about her not being good enough for her job. At least until he died. His name was Voideyes.
Something important to note when it comes to the story and worldbuilding is that its changed from the original... A lot in some places. Some of it is based on my old ideas of the WC world (back when I didnt understand English properly and relied on AMVs and very few translations).
So... ShadowClan kinda takes space of BloodClan? As in they live in the city, at least until the beginning of the story (Raven's Flight), and they have a lot of semi-members and friendly strays who stay behind in the city, until a second wave of moving several years later. In general they are very friendly with strays. loners and kittypets, and had less aversion to eating kittypet food, until Jawstar's rule (2 leaders before the current one post-prologue)
Second leader of my main Clangen file, Valleystar. An abandoned kitten who held onto her loose bow as the only good memory of her childhood. Childhood that she now barely remembers. She still holds onto it however and doesn't let anyone, even her supposed mate mess with it. Personally trained by previous leader and founder, Earthstar, Valleyriver inherited his self-assurance. She never explains her plans, feeling no need to and expects others to listen. Failure is not an option for her, though she so far has not been an aggresor in any war. (That last one may change, because I decided to reset other clans cuz their story files were... a failure beside very few instances.)
This is a test drawing made a while ago in krita only (Im more used to using Paint Tool SAI)
