Clipped (Yandere!Hawks x reader)

A/N: Inspired by a concept submitted to @yandere-love-love-love about  how Hawks would react to a reader with dove wings. 

“What kind of bird wings do you have?” You’re not really expecting a response, just thinking out loud as you stroke his feathers. Hawks shivers when your fingers comb through a soft patch near his back.

“I don’t know. Hawk wings?” You giggle, fingers pausing as you raise a hand to try and stifle it. 

“You don’t know? Did you pick the name Hawks because you thought they looked like hawk wings?” He shrugs, a few stray feathers tickling your face as his wings rise. There’s a silence as you focus on trying not to sneeze.

“Did you know that red-tailed hawks mate for life?” The question comes out of nowhere, and your break in concentration causes you sneeze as you turn to face him.

“Sorry, that was really gross. What did you say?”

“Did you know red-tailed hawks mate for life?” There’s an odd intensity in his voice, and you’re almost afraid to break eye-contact.

“Uh, no? Should I?” The silence stretches a second too long before Hawks smiles and rolls off your lap. The tension in the air is gone as he stretches, feathers on proud display.

“Nah, I just think it’s a cool fact. I picked the name Hawks because they’re good at hunting prey, and I want to hunt every criminal down so that the heroes can finally have a day off! Hey, what do you want for dinner? I can order out if you don’t feel like cooking.” You smile as he continues to talk, getting up to follow him to the kitchen. 

For a second, you felt as if you were looking at a completely different person as you held him in your lap but this; this is the Hawks you know. This is the Hawks you love.

Horikoshi recently revealed that Endeavor was supposed to die during the PLF war and that honestly validates something I've been feeling but couldn't quite articulate: "Horikoshi doesn't know who the central Todoroki is" (or he does, but he changed it halfway through to the worse option)

Endeavor dying would have been AMAZING if Shoto were the central character in the Todoroki subplot. The main reason this is so is that Endeavor would be out of the way. Shoto would have full reigns on how he wants to handle Touya (the "final villain" of the Todoroki subplot), and the rest of the family can play a role in this as a supporting cast.

However, Shoto is NOT the central character in the Todoroki subplot. Or, at least, he used to be, but he's not anymore. He's not allowed to have a final fight with Touya because Touya needs to still confront Endeavor. Regardless of how that fight ends, whether it's Shoto saving his brother or knocking him out, Shoto isn't allowed to end the conflict until Touya and Endeavor interact.

At the start of the series, it was really obvious that Shoto was the central figure (and was our pov character) for his family drama. During the sports festival, HE'S the one who shared the backstory. The flashbacks are framed around what HE saw. HE is the one taking a step forward to fix his family, and it starts with reconciling with his mom. At this point, Endeavor is what I'll call "the instigator". He is the cause for the family drama, and though we may not know Touya at this point, Endeavor has already released the future final boss of the subplot into the world.

In the Pro Hero arc, Endeavor becomes his own central figure as a pov character into the world of pros. He then overlaps with the Todoroki subplot by wanting to atone and remove himself from the role of the instigator. The thing is, he can't. What was done cannot be undone, and the most he can do at this point is try to make things better for his family moving forward. At this point, he and Shoto can coexist as central figures because the final boss has not yet been introduced.

The second Touya confirmed his identity, either Endeavor or Shoto had to stop being the central figure. Having Touya need to fight two heroes before being able to come to any end just feels sloppy, and since Shoto was given the first fight, it makes him seem like the less important figure. Even Touya doesn't care! He spends a good chunk of the fight talking about how he'd rather fight Endeavor. This makes Endeavor into the central figure as he is now the one to end the fight. HE'S the one the final boss has been waiting for, not Shoto.

The thing is, this started as Shoto's story, so it would have made sense for it to end as Shoto's story as well. Even if it meant killing Endeavor to force Shoto to be the ONLY central figure (probably to Touya's dismay) it would have allowed Shoto the space he needed to lead the ending he deserved, rather than be pushed to a side character.

TL;DR Endeavor surviving forced Shoto into the role of a supporting character in a plot line that started as SHOTO'S plot line.

Or: An omegaverse, college Oihina AU where Oikawa learns that Hinata lied about being a 'beta', and what comes after can only be described as...messy. But also a lot of sex. And some feelings somewhere down the line.

You’ve always admired Hawks as a hero. Not because of how talented he is or how handsome he is, your focus is the crimson wings he so proudly sports. They’re amazing and what he’s able to do with his feathers makes him even more interesting to you. 

In contrast, your wings are soft, simply for decoration. Sure, you’re able to fly, but you don’t do it often. When people see the gentle, angel-like wings that sprout from your back, they see you as someone weak and that you need to be protected. It bothers you. But you can’t do anything about it, that’s how it is. 

That’s why Hawks is such an amazing person. Birds are seen as fragile and pretty animals, meant to watch from afar. The wings of a bird are easy to break, their bones hollow so they can fly. Hawks is always so strong, so determined, the exact opposite of you. You’ll never be like him, so you’ll watch him and admire him as if that’s enough. It isn’t enough, obviously. But it dulls the pain in your heart when people treat you like you’re some sort of porcelain doll. Even if it’s just watching him on TV, you can feel a bit better about yourself. 

It’s a day when you’re feeling the worst when you meet him. Your wings are folded tightly to your form, hoping that you can hide them. They stick out no matter what, unfortunately. The day has been full of people treating you like a small child and it’s too much. You walk into a chest and without any motivation, you let yourself fall onto the concrete. It hurts a little and you let out a hiss. A hand reaches out for you and a well-known voice reaches your ears.

“Hey, you okay there?” You look up and the first thing you notice are crimson wings. It might surprise you but you reach out and let him help you up. His hands are calloused and you end up staring down at your interlocked fingers, brows furrowed. But you end up letting go of his hand, unable to really handle what’s going on. It’s a bad day. This isn’t a day where you have the energy to meet the hero you admire.

“Yeah. Just had a rough day.” With a side-step, you aim to walk around him. He reaches out and grabs your wing, pulling you back to where you were.

“I know.” Hawks voice is low, almost threatening. You glance up at him and your breath hitches. The look in his eyes is far from anything you’ve ever seen. There’s something deeper and it scares you, especially with his hand gripping your wing so tightly. He leans close to your face, sighing. “I wanted to comfort my dove since he was having a bad day. I hate seeing you so upset. Here, come with me and I’ll make you feel a lot better.”

ok, so one of the things that always had fascinated me about the multiverse is how different au's sanses relate and differentiate from each other, which ones like jokes? which ones are more likely to spend time in the multiverse and which arent; and which ones end up being more comfortable with their new lives as different people than just "sans" . So i created a list-
