We are statistically more likely to have a rapist or a child molester as pope than we are to have a female pope.

today i had the dubious honor of learning that william wordsworth stole entire passages out of the journals his sister, Dorothy Wordsworth, wrote.

Continuing The Trend Set By

"The Grasmere Journal and Wordsworth's other works revealed how vital she was to her brother's success. William relied on her detailed accounts of nature scenes and borrowed freely from her journals. This passage is clearly brought to mind when reading William's 'Daffodils', where her brother, in this poem of two years later, describes what appears to be the shared experience in the journal as his own solitary observation. Her observations and descriptions have been considered to be as poetic if not more so than those of her brother."

i know i've said this before but i'm going to say it again because the more i work with geriatric women the stronger i feel about the fact that the only anti-aging that women in their 20s/30s should be obsessed with is building strong bones and muscle mass. that's like the most important thing you can you can do right now to lay a good foundation for healthy aging. you can botox the shit out of your face but that's not going to do anything to save you from dying prematurely from a fatal hip fracture that you can't bounce back from because you didn't do anything to prevent yourself from becoming frail and breakable. like i know that sounds harsh but that is reality for a lot of older women and i don't want that to be you.

Idea for a dating sim game where all the anime girls politely decline your advances and if you keep playing the game and try to “win them over” they get angrier and more distressed until finally you’re expelled from your magical high school for sexual harassment and your father says how disappointed he is in you for squandering such a great educational opportunity.

Let men start getting used to the idea that women are not NPCs that just react to your male desires. Let them see that there is no “overcoming” a woman that doesn’t want you. And let him see that there will be consequences.

I wish there was a political party called women first where the entire platform was about the advancement, protection, and liberation of women n girls. And that’s it. All policy would be decided on the basis of whether or not it benefits women and girls.

being a girl and hitting puberty is so traumatic. you go from being a genderless little free thing to being hit with shaving and makeup and growing breasts and skincare and menstruation and suddenly being sexualised when like a few years ago you could take your shirt off to play in the stream and trade yugioh cards with the boys and come home covered in mud and not even think about it. and then you spend years hating being a girl and hating everything puberty did to you and wishing you could be a boy or be completely genderless again and it takes you Many years to come to terms with yourself Or you simply try to Lean In to everything and do makeup tutorials on YouTube and claim it’s for fun. like how can this be treated as normal
