No thoughts consumed my head as I took another swig of vodka.the tv was on but I wasn’t tuned in.i’d been on this couch for God knows how long.my legs feel numb.another sip.

Food would be scarce if I was hungry.eating never crossing my mind which was only replaying what had gone down two days ago.me and Matt got into a fight.not just any fight.he hit me.not just a small grab or a light smack on the arm,he full on smacked me across the face.another sip

I was shocked at first but my shock turned into anger.what we were fighting about in the first place was trivial now.I had been holding back at first but him striking me set me loose.I screamed at him louder than I think I ever have.nonsense spilling from my lips.another sip.

He was stunned by my rage filled yelling.only whispering small ‘sorry’s and ‘are you okay’s.I never got angry at Matt.he could step on my heart and crush it into a million pieces and I wouldn’t be that mad.well that’s what I thought until yesterday.I’m so stupid.another sip

I found messages.messages between him and another girl.one he called “my love” and “princess”.the guy who I thought was the sweetest boy and was the best boyfriend I could ever ask for was actually a lying ,cheating douche bag.it’s my fault for falling for him.another sip.

I was so stuck in my own head that I didn’t hear the front door open. “Y/nnnn” as all I heard.the sudden voice would normally make me jolt my head towards it but I found that nearly impossible with the state I was in.another sip

Matt stepped into view.now in front of me.he gave me a look.I couldn’t tell if it was disgust or sympathy.I didn’t know anything about him anymore. “What”I slurred out.another sip

“Have you been drinking?”Matt asked.dumb question for someone who was smart enough to hide another woman from me for months.

“Yea no shit genius,fuck do you want”I spat out sharply.

“I want to talk”he answered.his fist clenched as he said this.

“Get out Matt ''I barely got out as I smiled drunkenly.I don’t know why I was smiling.just felt right.

“No I’m not getting out, we need to talk and you need to sober up so we can have a proper conversation like grown adults” Matt said as I took another sip.I tilted my head back and he snatched the bottle out of my hand.

“Fuck you Matt”I flipped him off as my head went farther back into the arm rest of the couch.

“I’m not gonna let you destroy yourself, this is like the worst version of you”he said, frustration filling his voice.

“You bring out the worst of me baby”I replied.my response making Matt go silent.he ignored my comment.not saying anything as he bent down to pick me up bridal style.i was too tired to protest against this.

Matt mumbled some incoherent side comments under his breath.I didn't care enough to ask for him to repeat himself. "where are we going"i said lightly as i placed my head on his chest, my neck too weak to support the weight of my own head.

"You need a shower, you smell like vodka and sweat"Matt answered my question.he was probably right.i haven't really moved off the couch in at least a day. "can you stand?" he followed up as we entered the bathroom.

"probably not"i said with a slight huff coming out my nose.barely laughing at my own joke.he didn't say anything in response,lightly setting me down.i stabilized myself on his shoulder as to not fall over.once i caught my balance i let go of him.now being able to stand up straight.

"ill uh turn around so you can get undressed if you want" matt said wearily.not to get into any detail but we've been dating for 4 years, he's seen me naked before.so i said just that.

"i dont really give a fuck, i mean youve seen me naked before, not like much has changed in 6 days"i said,the alcohol making me more bold.if i we're sober then i wouldve mumbled a small 'no it’s ok..'

I pulled my white tank top off weakly.my arms and fingertips were asleep. "how you been?" matt asked as i took of my pj pants.i gave him a full blank stare.he knew how i'd been doing. "right, sorry, dumb question" he backtracked

"listen y/n i'm sorry about-"matt started before i cut him off annoyed "can we talk about this later, i just wanna take a shower right now"

“Yea thats…that’s fine”the blue eyed boy said as he left the bathroom,closing the door on his way out so i could clean off my body in privacy.

I shivered as I stepped out the warm shower into the cold which had been awaiting me.I was now sobering up.becoming more aware of my surroundings and what i was actually doing.

After I dried off I began to put on the clothes Matt had left out for me.not even noticing him doing that earlier.I got goosebumps as I pulled the hoodie he left out for me over my head and onto my body.I couldn’t help but realize it was his hoodie.

I wiggled into my pajama pants and began to do my hair like normal.my skin care was the same routine as always too.nothing abnormal,

Once I was done I walked over to the door and opened it attentively.my eyes were met with Matt sitting on my bed scrolling through his phone.I didn't say anything though.simply walking over to him and laying down next to him awkwardly.

He set his phone down once I sat on the bed. “How do you feel?”the taller boy asked while looking at me.I muttered a small ‘better’ as I began staring off into the distance.wondering how the fuck I got here in life

“Listen y/n im so so sorry for everything I’ve done to you.cheating was stupid and I realize that.I blocked her on everything.the only girl I want is you I swear”Matt started “I mean your litterly perfect and I know this is cheesy but I’m so in love with you God I mean I wake up everyday thinking about you and I go to bed at night doing the same.your the only girl I’ve ever felt this way for.I couldn’t even bare the last 2 days away from you.the whole time I was sat in bed missing your laugh,and your eyes, and your personality,fuck I missed you.I thought I would be ok but I was so so wrong.please y/n forgive me,I seriously can’t live without you”he finished off

I took a moment to respond.not exactly knowing what to say. “Well then why did you hit me?”I said blankly. “If all of that is true then why did you hit me?” I questioned again, now going into more detail.

“I-I don’t know, something just came over me.you know how I am sometimes.please y/n I really do love you.there’s nothing I want to do more then spend the rest of my life with you.”

“Can I just think about this please,this is kinda a lot to take in and I’m really tired right now.''I said, excusing myself from this whole conversation.

“Yes of course”the boy next to me said as he began to get up and leave.I wasn’t going to say anything and just let him leave as if I don't care.but that wasn't the truth.and I feel like we’ve had enough lies between each other the last few days.

“Can you stay please,I’ve missed you too”I caved in honestly.

“Oh sure”he replied hesitantly as he walked back to his previous spot.we don't say anything else from there.simply laying down and getting as close together as possible.I missed this, and even though I can’t read minds I think he missed this as well.

"still don't know what you want?" my best friend Chris asked, coming up behind me.he most likely wondered this because of the indecisive state i was in, attempting to make the choice between dr pepper and orange fanta.

"I don't know what to get, I want them both '' I replied,still staring at the drinks. "ughhh why am I like this? '' I said, turning around with a stressed out pout.

"I don't know man but you gotta be quick cause Matt and Nick are already in the car" he said, blue eyes staring back at me.I hated that I was holding everyone up but I seriously just couldn't decide.

"what do you think i should get" i said finally just wanting to get out of the CVS.

"I think you should just get both," he said back with the smallest smirk.

"Well I can't afford to get both and my candy" I quickly replied matter of factly.

chris gave me a 'are you serious' look and answered my problem with "its fine ill pay for you".i will admit i do have like a pretty big crush on chris.so seeing him just immediately offer to pay for me made my cheeks heat up.to my demise chris noticed this reaction i had and sarcastically said "what you never had someone pay for you or something?"

"Well yea I mean not really, it's just never something that comes up when I'm with friends...''I said nervously, avoiding eye contact with the boy in front of me.

"well remind me next time we go to dinner"he replied as he began walking to the register at the tilt of his head.i followed after him with a large smile painted on my face.my heart began beating faster as i caught up to him until i was finally next to him.we had walked next to each other countless times but this time was different.this time i felt things i hadn't felt before.

Once we made it to the register I placed the drinks and snacks on the counter, Chris doing the same a second later.as the scrawny teenage boy began scanning the assortment of foods I saw Chris pull out his wallet out of the corner of my eye.his silver nails pulling out his card.

After we paid we grabbed the bags and left.the parking lot was surprisingly busy for it being so late at night.cars zooming past us as we waited on the sidewalk. While we waited for someone to let us cross Chris grabbed my hand on instinct and walked across the street with me at a regular pace.

My head had been down but I shot it up once I heard Nick scream "hurry up lovebirds, we've been waiting forever" from the car with his phone pointed at us.my face was heating up again at the name he had given us.

A/N:i don't acc think chris would do this in a million years but someone said this was their 2024 predictions for the triplets in one of those like cannon confessions and its been stuck in my head since.

Chris was an identical triplet.anyone that knew him knew that.one of the things that differentiated him from his two other brothers though was his lack of body modifications.he had only his ears pierced once which was basically the opposite of his brothers who's arms and legs were littered in tattoos and nick even having a nose piercing.it never bothered him though.it was just simply never something he desired.

well that was until one night, after far too many pepsis, he got an idea.he had been thinking about getting his first tattoo lately but didn't want it to be anything meaningless or stupid.he wanted something that he would look back on and know why he got it and didn’t want to feel ashamed or embarrassed to have it.

he racked his brain for what felt like hours (20 minutes) until the perfect idea came to mind.he wanted to get the day that him and his girlfriend met over his heart.nothing big or crazy.simple enough for him to not look like a madman but special enough to where he would actually go through with getting it.

10/18/17 were the digits.the day they had officially first met and as chris liked to say, the day he fell in love with her.he never actually said that but it was a thought that lingered in the back of his mind on lonely nights were he was left with nothing but the comfort of his own reminiscence.

the pain was pretty bad but he knew this was wanted to do.the little pricks at his skin meant nothing seeing as he would die for the girl he got this for though.since the tattoo was fairly simple it didn't take super long, probably 40 minutes at max.he was excited the whole drive home though.he absolutely could not wait to show her.

Once he walked into the house he was met with her eyes. "Oh hey babe.i thought you were going shopping?Where the bags?"she asked, suspicious of what he had done for the past 2 hours out of the house to come home empty handed.he didn't respond in words though, only taking off his jacket once he was closer to the girl.

"oh wow okay"she said confused and shocked at his stripping.he then took off his shirt.eager to show her what he had done earlier which he was so giddy about last night.once his shirt was off he pointed to the numbers over his heart.a big cheeky smile planted on his face.

she could feel tears well up in here eyes at the sight of this.she knew he didn't like corny couple shit like this, made him cringe like crazy, but also that he wanted his first tattoo to be special and the reason he had held off on it for so long was because he wanted something that really meant a lot to him.her heart warmed knowing this was how he showed how much she meant to him.

"you're literally the cutest I can't " she said before grabbing face and kissing his pink lips passionately.Once she pulled away she did have one question to ask. "how'd you even remember that day?"

"How could I not."was his only answer, the words coming out as his face began to heat up.she rolled her eyes playfully before pulling him in close for a hug. his arms made a ring around her lower body.

"I love you"she whispered into his ear.words she had said probably a million times that meant the most when said to him.

A/N: ik i said this would be posted a while ago but I've been super busy w school and everything and have just had no time to write but here it is!this is acc something i've had in mind but have been able to actually write so it was nice to finally finish it. ok happy reading guys!

"I'm hungry," Nick complained from the other side of the couch. Matt, who was too focused on his phone to even acknowledge anything else around us, simply blew Nick off. only telling him to grab something from the kitchen.me and Chris on the other hand weren't very tapped into the movie all four of us were supposed to be watching. It was a little boring, yes but what else was there to do? Summer break is normally fun but there are always a few weeks where you feel like you've done everything you can for this 10 week break.

" there's nothing good in there, can we go to the gas station or something?'' Nick asked as he hung his head off the edge of the couch we all shared. With the small back and forth happening right next time I was now paying less attention to the movie.

Matt, who was still looking at his phone aimlessly, answered Nick's complaint and question combination with "my car is still in the shop so unless you feel like walking 2 miles then go find something in the kitchen." annoyed. not really sure what he was annoyed about since he hasn't even done anything all day besides sit on the couch and sit around the house with us.

"we could just take the bikes.'' Chris said from behind me. Nick silently made his way toward the kitchen while we tried to figure out a plan. Looking around the cabinets and the fridge for something to his liking.

“You know I can’t ride a bike asshole” I sassed as I turned my head a little bit in order to see him.

“No I fucking didn’t, what are you talking about?” He retorted.

“Like everyone knows that?” I replied.laughing at the brunette’s confusion.Matt shut off the movie and put something on cable since at this point nobody was even paying attention to it.

"I'm just hungry and bored so can we please find some way to get to the gas station for the love of God."Nick said, walking toward us from the kitchen dramatically plopping down back next to Matt on the couch.

The four of us sat there and attempted to think of a solution. "I'll just teach you how to ride,"Chris suggested as he got up from the couch, pulling up his gray sweats slightly.the 3 of us looked at Chris so he realized what he just said "how to ride a bike guys, Jesus..." he clarified as he shook his head with a small smile at our immaturity.

The rest of us got off the couch and began to walk toward the front door to leave. As Matt opened the door my eyes were met with a beautiful pink sunset. The winding down of the summer day made the weather very mellow. Warmth and a soft wind hit my bare legs and arms. watercolor sky painting the scenery.

I followed the boys toward their bikes and grabbed the extra one which was Justin's old bike. blue and silver spikes stars were spread over the bike. not exactly something I would ride if I had the choice but i'm not in position to complain.

as I hopped on it I noticed Matt and Nick beginning to ride away "teach her and we can bring you guys stuff" Matt yelled from almost 13 feet away. I turned to Chris who was unlocking his bike for the chain

"Okay!" he yelled to Matt before turning to me."Alright, you know how to get on it so that's good."he joked before getting on his own bike. "ok try to move the bike" he said, turning to me.

"ok..."I mumbled as I placed my feet on the pedals. I lost balance once both my feet left their place on the ground causing me to frantically put my left foot back on the gravel. I turned to the boy in front of me. his pale skin glowing in the dwindling sunlight. He made a concerned face before getting off his bike in order to help me.

"let me try holding the bike as you put your feet on the pedals."he explained. Chris then came around to the back of me and placed his left hand on my waist and the right on one of the handles.my heart began to beat faster. I felt supported by Chris' hold so I put my foot back on the pedal. "So now move the pedals as if you were gonna ride for real." I did as he said and began to pretend to ride the bike.

"Now when I let go, keep pedaling forward."nerves shot through me as I looked out to the long empty street in front of me. the fear of falling over took over

"Chris im gonna fucking fall"I expressed

"I won't let go of you, just the bike. if you fall I'll catch you, promise."He reassured me. His words encouraged me to try so as soon as he let go I kept pedaling. The bike moved quickly under my feet but I wasn't scared because of the support Chris had on my hip.

Once I was about half way down the road nerves set back in and I began to feel like I might fall again. I wasn't steering the bike correctly and was sort of swerving. "Chris, Chris I'm gonna fall!"I yelled. I tried to straighten the bike but it wasn't working.

"No you're not kid, I'm literally holding you,"Chris said, out of breath from running to keep pace with me. The end of the road was nearing so I knew I would have to turn around soon.

"How do I turn?!"I frantically yelled. as the rounded curb got closer and closer.the wheels of the old bike wouldn't slow down as they glided against the pavement.

"What?" Chris yelled from behind me.I hadn't even realized he let go and that I was doing this on my own.

"How do I turn!?"I yelled even louder hoping he would hear and then teleport next to me and turn the bike for me.

"floor it!" he shouted as I was about to hit the curb. I then jerked the handles of the bike and turned sharply. my legs moving faster in order to keep momentum. "Hell yea!!" he exclaimed from the opposite side of the street. His excitement made me smile.

our happiness didn't last much longer though because I didn't realize there was a huge pot hole right in front of me. The front wheel got caught in the crater and sent me flying forward.

"oh shit!'' Chris yelped as he jogged over to me. Adrenaline was rushing through my veins still so I didn't feel much pain coming from my scraped up elbow or my cut knee. "you okay? No broken bones or concussions?"

I giggled at his concern and wiped up some blood that had been dripping down my leg. "dude you fucking did it, you learned how to ride a bike!"he said happily. a huge smile painted on his sun dusted face. eyes fixated on mine which were inspecting the sting from my cut began to set in causing me to let out a wince.

"Ok can we get inside now."I mumbled out of breath. my soft voice broke him out of his trance as he darted his eyes away from mine.

"oh yeah sorry." he said as he stood up and dusted off his knees that had tiny rocks scattered on them. I put my hand out for him to help me up and he did so. helping me limp back to the house.

Once we got inside he told me to wait in the kitchen while he grabbed our bikes that he realized he had left outside. While he was outside I hobbled my way over to the freezer and grabbed some ice, put it in a plastic baggie with a paper towel around it and placed it on my elbow.

When Chris came back into the kitchen he began looking for the first aid kit. "Sorry I took so long, your bike was like lodged in the hole." he explained, laughing a little. I huffed out a small laugh as well. "Okay here we go!"he said as he closed the cabinet, turning around with a red and white box in his hands.

He placed the box on the counter and began to examine what was inside of it, pulling out bandaids, gauze, rubbing alcohol and cotton balls.Chris struggled to keep the things in his arms as he walked over to me. The items catering once placed on the counter. 

"hop up."he instructed. I did as he said, hopping onto the counter and shuffling around so I was comfortable and didn't feel like I was gonna fall off. I turned my head to watch him mess around with the medical stuff. putting everything into place. "this is gonna sting a lot" he said as he stood in front of me. cotton ball that had been soaked in disinfectant In his hand. i bit my lip as the alcohol made contact with my open wound. a stinging sensation being sent through my knee.

The slight pain went away as he stopped cleaning the cut. opening a brown bandaid and placing it on the cut carefully. "See, all better!"he joked, making me smile at his small gesture. our eyes caught each other as he looked up. both of us admiring the other's features.

for the first time in I think forever there was a silence between us. once that had to be broken but not by words. I hopped down from my spot on the counter unexpectedly .My action made Chris back up a little.

Without saying anything I hugged the brunette in front of me.wrapping my arms around his neck as he did the same with my waist. I buried my head in his neck and smiled to myself.

Chris pulled away from the hug before I could. I was confused at why he would do this wrong as he normally is a very big hugger with me. my confusion soon turned to shock as the flushed boy in front of me cupped my cheeks and pressed his lips onto my one passionately.

My eyelids slowly sunk down as my body melted into the long awaited kiss. i have had a crush on him for God knows how long but never came even close to knowing he felt the same way, let alone making a move.the front door opened almost as soon as we pulled away from each other. making us white our heads toward the door almost immediately. 

"hey guys-'' Nick began as he and his brother trotted into the kitchen, bags of snacks in hand. "the fuck happened to you?" he asked me as he set the snack down on the kitchen table.

my heart was still beating faster than I could think but I had to make everything seem normal. i mean my best friend can't know I just kissed my other best friend who also happened to be his brother. "This kid tried to teach me how to ride a bike, '' I said with a small, awkward giggle.

"alright i'm going back to the couch." Matt said groggily as he walked back to the place where he had been for most of the day.

"yea same" Chris followed short behind Matt with his snacks in hand.i didn't take my eyes off him he sat back down on the couch.

"You sure he only touched your how to ride a bike?"Nick asked me from across the counter.leaned over,interested in the truth behind what had happened while they were out.

I took a sip of my red bull before choking on the drink at the question I had been asked. "Yes Nick, I've told you before, I'm not interested in either of your brothers like that."I reassured the brunette.i hated lying to him like that but I didn't really want to tell him just yet.especially If nothing ever came about with Chris.after all me and him are still just friends.

"Okay I'm just saying, you're awfully flushed." Nick said.

"There's nothing there, girl , trust me. I think they're watching La La Land in there," I said as I let go of the topic, making my way back to the living room.upon entering I saw both brothers on each side of the couch so I naturally migrated toward Chris. the boy who had made himself comfortable on the couch moved his legs in order for me to sit there.

Once the four of us were all curled up on the couch together it was almost impossible to ignore the fact that Chris' hand was placed on my waist.I leaned on him a little but not fully so as to not make it obvious that I had lied earlier.

I have had a crush on this boy basically since we met and now he's finally showing that he feels the same way, just without words which I honestly prefer.anyone can say anything but it takes a certain kind for passion driven by truth to actually act on your words.spoken or not.i don't know what we are but I feel like it's spelled out pretty clearly that it's more than what we've been letting on

I set my lash glue down as I heard the unmistakable ring of an incoming phone call from across the room.knowing i was going out with my friends and my boyfriend and that's what I was getting ready for, I immediately got up from my vanity to grab my phone. 'matty boy' read the caller id.it was strange for matt to be calling me instead of chris but i simply assumed his phone was dead, not thinking much about it.

"hey y/nn, we're outside, you ready?'' Matt spoke into the phone.before i could answer his question i heard faint giggling in the back.due to it sounding like a girls giggle i became more confused.as far as i knew it was just the three boys and me, madi backing out because she was babysitting unfortunately.

"yea i just need to put my lash on but i'll be out in a sec"i answered truthfully. more giggling could be heard, now clearer than before.yes i was curious but chose not to ask anything because i was probably on speaker right now.

"Alright, just take your time, we're not in a rush,"Matt said calmly before I muttered a quick 'mk' and hung up the phone.

stepping out of the house i immediately saw the van waiting for me.speed walking up to it happily.as i got closer to the car i could see the front seat,the one my boyfriend normally sits in, was empty.weird yes but not insane.i mean it's not like he's shackled down to the seat.but once i made it to the door of the car i realized the reality of what was going on.nick sat on the left,chris in the middle and ashley on the right looking up at chris while leaning onto his shoulder. what the fuck was all i thought as i stepped into the car. "hey babe, '' Chris said from the back seat, causing the smaller girl to slowly get off him.

"Oh hi Chris" I said lovingly,not wanting to call him anything but his first name at the sight of him being so touchy with another girl.

"oh yea you know Ashley right y/n '' Matt said as he began to back out of my driveway.of course i knew her.although she was more of the boys friend then mine it was pretty hard to miss her with how obnoxious she was. Nick has told me many times that he's not too fond of her but Chris and Matt seem to have no problem with the girl.

"Hey,"I said with a warm smile on my face while turning around to greet the girl,only receiving a small awkward smile in return.

Once we had finally made it to the restaurant after what felt like forever we all stepped out of the car.chris gave me a small kiss on the cheek now that we were close together. "I missed you, '' the taller boy whispered into my ear, causing me to forget everything I had seen previously.

Ashley and Nick had now taken the lead of our group,Matt in the middle and me and Chris in the back.The order stayed the same as we entered the restaurant and Nick began talking to the seating lady. "yea so party of five- 'who's the fifth? oh yea nevermind' ashley interrupted.not sure how she could forget me when she was on top of my boyfriend a minute ago but ok i guess.

"chris sit with me!" she said like a little kid once the seater brought us to a booth.nick,who now was sitting to her left gave me a look that described how i felt as well.my boyfriend awkwardly obliged and sat with her, leaving me to sit with Matt.which i would have been totally fine with if my boyfriend wasn't sitting directly across from me with another girl.

"wait your seriously gonna eat all of that.'' Ashley said as I began to eat my food.being on top of my boyfriend is one thing but making backhanded comments is another.

if we weren't in public i would’ve said something as rude as what just came out of her cheaply filled lips but due to the restaurant being packed i decided to be civil "well yea im fuckin hungry"was all i said before turning to nick in order to start a conversation with him.

"Y/nn take a picture of us for the photo dump tomorrow."nick said as he handed me his phone.i nodded slightly as i opened his camera and told them to pose.but of course as soon as the word left my mouth little miss bitch hooked herself onto chris and leaned on his shoulder.

yes i was mad at her for being like this for no apparent reason but i was also upset at chris for not saying anything.he just sat there and posed as well. "ok now we gotta get you guys, Ashley, take the photo since you're like in the middle." nick asked politely

"you sure she won't break the camera?'' Ashley joked as she looked at Nick for approval of her poorly curated joke.

"yea im pretty fuckin sure."the blonde boy replied.

"If that's really a concern of yours then maybe don't turn the camera around"Matt said in my defense.Through all this Chris stayed silent.like his lips were sealed.

For once Ashley didn't say anything,snatching the phone out of my hand.And now since Chris was being weird I decided to piss him off a little.make him feel what i've felt all night.

I put up a small thumbs up and leaned onto Matt's shoulder as my pose.the boy to my right did the same hand movement as we both smiled.I knew he wouldn't take this the wrong way and maybe even would understand why I was doing this.

✧Two days later, Saturday

My thumb repeated the same movement it had been doing for the past 45 minutes.it being late at night and not exactly wanting to talk to my boyfriend due to the way he acted the other night made my night extremely boring.

the next video on my for you page was one i didn't expect to see but the timing was almost perfect.it was a screen recording of the photo dump where the person scrolled until they got to the photos from the other night.the first picture was the one of me and matt and the next one was the one i took.the one where my boyfriend acted the same way he does with me, with another girl.

the video being the everlong meme made it slightly funny in my head but no laugh came out of me.before thinking i sent it to chris and nick.i sent it to nick because i knew he would agree and talk shit with me but i sent it to chris to show him why i haven't been talking to him the past day.why i haven't answered his calls or texts.

Nick's response was what I expected to be honest. 'yea im not inviting her anywhere no more, fuck that bitch' was what he had typed and sent in response to the video.

chris did not respond at all.simply leaving me on read.that hurt more than the other shit he's done recently.not only does he always respond to the videos i send him but one where i'm obviously trying to tell him something important.i glanced up at the time in the corner of my phone.it was only 8:30.too early for me to fall asleep so i simply turned over and continued scrolling.

After about an hour I heard the doorbell ring.assuming it was a stupid kid from down the street due to there being a lot of teens that lived on my road I ignored it.then the bell rang again.I rolled my eyes and became more aware of my surroundings, now being woken up.

‘Ping’ was all I heard from my phone that was now faces down on my mattress.as I turned it over the first and only notification I had was from my boyfriend, Chris.a text message that simply read “can you open the door it’s mad cold out here”

I sighed deeply as I realized what was going on.stepping out of my warm bed and walking down the stairs in my chilly house.

Once I had made it to the door I left my hand on the knob for a moment before opening it, not exactly sure if I wanted to be face to face with Chris at the moment.but nonetheless I opened it and was met with a sorry looking blue eyed boy.

“Hey”I said quietly due to me still being tired.I didn’t exactly know what to say.we almost never got into fights like this,certainly not one’s where we went more than a day not talking.

“Why didn’t you say anything?”the boy quickly said,skipping any form of greeting.

“Excuse me?”I responded.I noticed little drops of rain began to form outside as our conversation started.was he seriously blaming me for his bs?

He was struggling to look me in the eyes,something he had never had a problem with in the past.he actually often said he could stare into mine for hours and get lost in them. “Why didn’t you say anything to me, how was I supposed to know you were upset?”he said now more arrogant hints in his tone.

“Oh jeez sorry I thought my boyfriend of 3 years would be able to know that I don’t exactly love when some random girl calls me ugly and then hops on top of him”I said in response to his stupid question.

“She’s not just some girl,she’s my friend,”he said rudely.

“Go fuck yourself”i said weakly,tears welling up in my eyes.now the rain began to hit the ground harder.it was almost as if it was synced up with how i felt.

“What”he whispered

“I said go fuck yourself dip shit,get out of my face,leave me alone,I don’t want to see you let alone talk to you right now!”i said now louder.anger and sadness being my main emotions.

“Y/n I just don’t understand why you're being like this,I get that you don’t like what she said and how she’s on top of me all the time but I’ve told her to stop,what else do you want me to do?”he said putting his hands up in defense.

“Ugh your so stupid, drop her, why is she still your friend, do you have a fucking chemical imbalance in your brain why don’t you get that?!”i practically yelled. “I didn’t want it to come down to this because I know it’s corny but..me or her”I finished

Very movie-like of me yes but so what.he needs to choose because as long as he’s friends with her I don’t want anything to do with him.

"Okay so the next question is 'who was your first kiss' and what's the story behind it" Nick shouted over Chris and Matt trying to explain why fairies are and aren't real to each other.Everyone in the car immediately had their own separate reaction to this question.

Nick was smiling ear to ear, most likely because of the embarrassment that came with answering the question.matts head was down with a cringed face.me and Chris both looked at each other knowingly before my cheeks flushed and he looked away.

Once everyone had their stories in their heads we looked around for who should go first. "y/n i think you should go first" chris said with a cocky smile.

"ok so what do you wanna watch?" chris said as he sat down next to me on the bed.a good amount of distance between us for friends so it's too bad i wanted to be more than that.i played the lack of romance off by just ignoring it,refusing to look over at his side profile while he flicked through an assortment of movies.

"no clue, what are my options?" I asked while staring at the tv.

“Uhm maze runner ‘Nah’ nightmare before Christmas ‘ehh’ hairspray ‘YES OMG YES’ ”was how the interaction went before he clicked on the movie I wanted.

While watching the movie we had gradually moved closer together.not on top of each other but definitely closer than before.now I was slouched down slightly with our shoulders touching, nothing crazy i know but I’ll take what I can get.

Once we got about an hour into the movie I began to zone out.letting myself to wander in my own thoughts.watching the romance movie only made these thoughts worse. “Jesus” I muttered under my breath.

“What, what’s wrong?”he asked, looking down at me.

“It’s nothing, just movies like this always make me sad.” I replied truthfully.I knew what I was about to say but I was ok with it.he was one of the few people I didn’t mind sharing these thoughts with.

“Why?” He asked with a puzzled look on his face.just one word for him but years of insecurities,self hatred and yearn for love for me.

“Cause I know I’ll never have anything like that, nobody will ever love me like that, ya know”I answered hesitantly while still staring at the tv.I had now sat up a little from the previous position I was in.being at the same level as him made me nervous especially since the topic of conversation but I had to,my back was killing me.

“Why do you think that?”Chris said with a slight laugh,as if he couldn’t believe I thought like that.now although the thought he was shook I found myself unloveable was comforting,I knew he was only being nice.

I looked at him for a second before saying what I had been thinking my whole life. “Dude I’m like the ugliest girl at school.” I answered honestly. “I mean it’s whatever, I know everyone thinks that.”I continued with a shrug at the end of my sentence.it felt weird talking about this but also for some reason, reliving.

The look he gave me after I said that wasn’t one I could describe or replicate.he looked shocked and confused at the same time almost. “I don’t think that…”he mumbled.if I hadn’t tuned out the movie long ago I wouldn’t have even heard him to be honest

“What” was all I could say.had i misheard him?I must've, right?

"I don't think you're the ugliest girl in the school, you're...you're beautiful ''he said, making me feel like I was in a scene from a movie.although i wanted to keep up my nonchalant act of not caring about what others thought,i simply couldn't.

i was shocked he had said this.my lips were slightly parted due to me knowing i wanted to say something but not really knowing what to say.i mean how does one respond to that.his eyes flicked down to my lips before the one thing i never thought would happen, happened

Before I could realize what he was about to do, the boy in front of me who I had been crushing on for like forever grabbed my jaw and connected our lips passionately.I was shocked at first but slowly melted into the kiss I had been longing to have for most of my life.

our mouths moved in sync while both of our eyes were closed.it felt like we were the only two people on the planet.once we pulled away i took a moment to look at the boy in front of me.his disheveled hair,piercing blue eyes, pinkish lips, he was perfect.i then said words i don't think i will ever forget saying. "i-i think your beautiful too"

my face heated up as i finished the story. "You guys are too cute, it makes me wanna throw up."Nick said jokingly. Normally I would respond with something snarky but if I opened my mouth i think I would burst out laughing out of embarrassment and nervousness.chris's head was just down, most likely with the same expression as me.

"We were so corny" he said, laughing as he picked his head up.although i thought the moment was really cute,it was pretty cringe when i think back on it.

"We were like 15,"I said in my own defense.

"yea and you wouldn't even get with me till like 2 years later!" my boyfriend responded.

"ok ok next story"i started with a huge smile on my face still.
