🇨🇺 #Cuba from the series of commemorative #FreeCuba I made some mock up #stamps in honor of these brave martyrs who had the guts to fight against the new regime/communist revolution: 1. Pedro Luis Boitel: #politicalprisoner for his ideals. Died under #hungerstrike in jail. 2. Margarito Lanza Flores aka Capitan Tondique: a humble country side agricultural black worker who rebelled against the Castro regime when his farm was intervened due to the so called Agrarian Reform. He was executed after being burnt so badly. Fidel couldn't stand a black poor man rebelling against him. 3. Antonio Tony Chao Flores: a young 20 year old man who rebelled against the Castro regime early on. Was captured and beaten by #Che ( the racist homophobic murderer people wear on tshirts). Then executed at La Cabaña. 4. Zoila Aguila Almeida, knows as the girl of Escambray. She took up arms against the regime and headed a small army. She was so successful at skirmishes, it took a traitor to take her down and her men. The civil war lasted over 13 years and according to some estimates over 2000 Cubans died. The rest came back mutilated, traumatized and some sick. Today, these veterans are mostly abandoned. | Años después ocurriría la Operación Carlota, donde desplegaron 82 miembros del Minint vestidos de civil para Angola. Alrededor de 350k cubanos fueron parte de la guerra civil que duró 13 años. El punto era ayudar al comunista Agostinho Neto tomar el poder. Murieron alrededor de 2000 cubanos y muchos mutilados, traumatizados regresaron para ser olvidados y quedar recogiendo basura en las calles. #Cuba

In 1898, the war for independence from Spain was still raging ( The Ten Year War). A year prior, Valeriano Weiler ( Butcher Weiler) left the island after his repressive failure known as the reconcentration, where a lot of Cuban families, including mine, where confined into towns. Years later, dictator Castro would repeat the same with the Captive towns ( Pueblos Cautivos) and the Umap( forced labor camps for dissidents, religious groups and the lgtbq) | Por algún motivo, esta collección de sellos de Alfonso tiene reproducciones falsas. En 1898, Cuba aun seguía bajo la guerra de los 10 Años, independentistas vs. la corona. Un año antes el general represor Valeriano Weiler dejaba el país tras el fracaso de la reconcentración, un desplazamiento masivo de familias, incluyendo la mía, confinadas a pueblos. Años mas tarde, este tipo de práctica represiva sería continuada por el dictador #Castro con los Pueblos Cautivos y los campos de trabajo forzados #Umap.

🇨🇺 #Cuba #Stamp El Presidio issued 1953 , 100 years after #JoseMarti birth | José Martí was a writer, poet, and independentist during times of the rebellion against Spain. His figure has been used by the Castro regime to favor their marxist agenda. Seen here, a young Martí, age 16, was a political prisoner when in 1963, his home was searched by Spanish military who found letter the boy wrote to discourage a friend from joining the Spanish army. If José Martí were alive today, he would have been a political prisoner again since he warned at such an early date of the dangers of #socialism and #marxism . Especially on a letter to his dear friend Fermín Valdés, New York, 1894 : " .. There are 2 dangerous things of the socialist idea (..) it provides foreign, confusing and incomplete arguments, hidden rage and arrogance of ambitious people, who in order to raise up in the world to have shoulders to lean on, they pretend to be avid defenders of the helpless." | José Martí en el Presidio Político cuando tenía solo 16 años por sus ideas independentistas. #sello Sin dudas el poeta hubiera estado preso en nuestros tiempos en #Cuba ya que José jamás se tragó el cuento del socialismo y el marxismo.
