as a therian I don't like the therian community on most platforms (accept tumblr ofc) because it's usually younger kids and it feels more targeted towards gear and quads than the actual experience

So I was waiting for my turn at the place i take cello lessons and i notice that a bag has a Racoon tail attached to it. I ask the people who came before me if any of them may be otherkin or therian and a little sweet girl who couldn't be older than 10 proceeds to tell me she's a fox therian😭😭ASHWLRJ BBTLEJTOEE IM SOBBING AND HER MOM WAS SO NICE ABOUT IT TOO

as an alterhuman (more specifically therian) artist with a lot of 'types that have tails I have a voice in my head that tells me to draw any and every character from media that isnt human (except for certain ones like Splatoon inkfish creatures cause they're too human looking) with a tail. I'm pretty sure that this is because I use art as a form of therapy and usually draw things that I want myself (a tail is one of those things) so I can imagine it a bit better but having to repress the urge to draw a character that canonically doesn't have a tail (cause there's another part of my brain that's dedicated to logic and sensemaking) can be quite annoying

Tired of the therians on yt shorts and TikTok going "we know we're human" when like. therianthropy is the belief that you *aren't* human on a non-physical level. You can just say "we know we have human bodies and we can't change that" because I'm pretty dang sure that's what you're trying to say but like for me at least this is a little nitpick I have that's just annoying as fuuuuuuuuuck.
