Progress on my Near drawing~

Yeah, I did some sketches but she doesn't really grow on me.

Well, drawing a Death Note Pokémon AU sure as fuck ain't paying the bills but I'd be lying if I said It doesnt feel good lol.

I have no idea where this came from. Honestly, I took Adderall to clean my room, and this happened instead, but i hope someone besides me finds this entertaining, lol.

I had a whole plot in my head but forgot it already. All I got is Near is from Lavender Town, but strangely, no one else in town has ever seen or heard of him. Guess just another one of Lavender town's ghost stories...kinda weird how kids toys keep popping up on the gravestones, tho.

Bonus: Espurr was his first pokemon. He never goes inside his pokeball, and he has an insatiable hunger for violence.

This was too much fun, and I'm already in the middle of drawing Mello, so I'm hoping I can post it later today. Feel free to let me know what you guys think or if you have any ideas!

Also, work and life have had me in a chokehold for the last couple of months, so I'm sorry to everyone on here I ghosted. I'm hoping to message people back later tonight and maybe even post more headcanons, but in the meantime whatcha guys think Near would name his Espurr?

I agree that those numbers don’t really fit.

I just feel like if those weight to height ratios are like that for anime in general, then there has to be more than simply culture that makes all those authors believe that those numbers make sense…

What the FUCK is up with the DN wiki's take on the characters' weights??? There ain't no fuckin way L is 110 lbs at 5'11. That's a BMI of 15 (way way way below healthy). He'd look like Eugenia Cooney.

For context I'm 5'1 and when I weighed 100 lbs I was a 00 in pants size! I was so small I struggled to find clothes small enough for me (granted I live in America).

Like realistically for his size he's probably roughly 130 lbs (which is still close to underweight for his height). Where the hell did they get 110 lbs??

And all the tall characters are like this. Light is 119 and Lidner is 115 when realistically they should be like 140. Lidner is thin but she is a bodyguard so she should have muscle which weighs more than fat so she might actually be a little more than that.

There's no way I'm overthinking this like it's just not possible people who are nearly 6 ft tall are under 130 without looking deadly thin.

If it didn’t before it does now. This is how I see it going:

Light and Sayu are not just close siblings, they are best friends.

Sayu adores her brother, she is his number one fan and will cheer him on no matter what. He is someone she would never have to worry about bothering because she knows she can come to him for anything. She can’t find it in herself to be jealous of her older brother for being smarter than her when he’s the one person who sees her as anything special.

Light adores his sister, but more than that, she is someone he can open up to. She is someone that he trusts enough and is comfortable enough with to show the parts of himself that he doesn’t let anybody else see, and know that she wouldn’t think any less of him for it.

So when he finds the death note and is struck by the realisation that he killed two people, he immediately goes to Sayu. She is there for him as he spirals into feeling like he has to use the notebook to get rid of all evil. She comforts him and sympathises with him, she knows her brother and why he feels like he has to twist the narrative. But she also talks him out of it.

Her brother is the best person in the world in her eyes, but unlike everyone else seems to, she knows he isn’t perfect and it’s her job to talk him out of crazy ideas that wouldn’t lead to anything good.

I’ve seen Sayu Is Kira AU and Sayu Helps Light Be Kira AU but what about Sayu Stops Light Before He Becomes Kira AU??
