I both love and hate Oedipus Rex because the end is so stupid.

The whole play is (in one interpretation!) about self-identity and the battle between knowing who we are and how we are percieved by ourselves and the world around us. You'd expect for Oedipus to end the play fully relalized and yet...

By blinding himself, which, yes it is out of guilt and is a form of self-flagellation, but it also acts as a way to continue ignoring who he is. Without eyes he cannot see his children, the genetic abominations, nor does he have to see the world he has helped corrupt. He can continue to live in bliss. In his blindness he does not become Tiresias- he is not a prophet- he is just a pathetic man as scared as us to see himself in the mirror.

Last boss seems like the kinda guy to be obsessed with smoking meat. Dude probably spends his time either gathering meat and wood and seeing how different wood affect the taste and shit.

Sometimes I guess he hands them out for others to taste. And so I propose: kuina and last boss bonding over meat and sometimes they invite Arisus and chishiya to taste it but both have the taste pallets of a Labrador. the least funny idea in my brain rn is that the vampire council had to impose flying trafic lights because vampires kept crashing in the air and falling to the ground. They run off mage magic and have bi-monthly inspections (where a mage sits on the back of a vampire for a very uncomfortable couple of hours). Tbf this also implys that vampires have to pay taxes to keep the traffic lights working and also that vampire insurance might exist but thats lame. I like to think the council see it as an investment since sky trafic laws means less falling vampires which means less news sites they have to pay to keep silent. It also stops fues from starting.

SO LIKE CHILDRENS DISCOS, their a staple of going on holiday to like Spain but also Hotels in general. anyway imagine Hatter decided the beach need children's/mini discos. Imagine just him forcing everyone to sing all the little songs, or play games like musical bumps.  now imagine last boss getting REALLLLY mad that he just lost a game of musical statues to Kuina so he flips a table and storms out.

Go full on British pe lessons and make it bench ball. Inter house bench ball at that. Realllly give in to how pathetic this is. It’s just every house on campus playing bench ball against each other for shitty sports day points.

And of course these two lads are creating extreme practice regimes and have at least 50 pages of pure sport strategy hand written. Yes they did ignore their homework for this. Yes it was worth it. They rated everyone’s throwing, catching, and blocking skills 1-100 down to the 5th decimal place. This is the most math either have done in their life. They have the perfect strategy worked out for their team.

Either way they lose the inter house competition because no amount of strategy can overcome an all girl team of mean girls (said with love, being on those sort of teams was great).
