Something rainbow for day 3? Well I’m sure y’all didn’t know this but I collect dolls
They’re rainbow high dolls, so....
any other hypermobile folks need to remind themselves to walk right? i need to consciously tell myself to bend my knees and walk heel to toe.
Thank some one who helped you get where you are.
I’d like to thank Thomas Sanders for providing the queer content my repressed soul needed throughout middle school and beyond.
Thank you Thomas Sanders @thatsthat24
Day 2? Something that makes me happy?
Happy?
Well I’ve mentioned this before but the happiest place for me on earth is the camp I go to each summer. And though that camp is closing this summer, it will always be my 2nd home.
The memories will bring me joy, the hikes, the kayaking, the swimming, the games and the nights in front of the fire, and amazing never ending love and family.
That’s the thing that makes me happy.
sorry but cancelling a genuinely good show about overcoming grief starring a girl of color played by an actress who's actually around the character's age, two queer characters (one of whom is of color) whose relationship kind of drives the show, and honestly just in general a show which goes out of it's way to do justice to its characters and actors is... certainly a move
Who the FUCK decided that insurance companies get to decide what’s medically necessary????????
Shout out to the girl in my class who loved to bring cookies and brownies and stuff to school to share with the class and when she found out I was allergic to wheat and soy she started bringing me skittles everytime she brought in baked goods so I wouldn’t be left out
Literally such a beacon of light, I love you so much
TIP for any fellow disabled folks who have cats ❣️ if you got chronic fatigue or back pain or POTS where you cant bend down easily or even if you're able bodied and just feeling sick get one of these shits ↓↓↓
It's got one huge sifter so after your cat(s) use it you just grab it, shake it side to side a little, dump the poop into a bag, put the now clean litter in a fresh box (this one gives you two litter boxes for this reason) and pour the clean litter in the box on top of the pan. You can put the second box under it to keep it out of the way for when you switch over again.
This Arm and Hammer one was only 15 bucks on amazon and it's so much easier to clean. It is heavy to lift up the full pan and dump the cleaned litter into the second box so keep that in mind, but it's so much faster and less arduous than shoveling the caked up cat shit for 10 minutes and having your back screaming in pain, numb feet, and a head rush from bending over 😭 i didn't know these existed until now so that's why I'm talking about it anyway if you see this you should pet your cat for me maybe give em a kiss on their stupid little forehead 🤎🐈🐈⬛
Ok so at this point I've had two people roll up to me in manual wheelchairs, well, one of them was somebody pushing somebody who was nonverbal at the time, but it still counts. They asked me why I had zip ties around my tires.
It's winter where I'm living and we have really bad snow. And the snow plow people are really bad at their jobs probably because there aren't snow plow people who clean sidewalks. As a solution I got to thinking about how I could increase the traction on my wheels. And the most redneck thing I could think of was taking a bunch of zip ties and tying them around my wheels. They last surprisingly long, and work surprisingly well. It's basically the same premise as chains for your tires during the winter.
I chose to space them out pretty evenly so there's about one for every spoke. You could probably do more or less depending on how many you want and how much traction you get but I wouldn't go more than three per spoke. I realize that it's a bit later in the winter, and I probably should have made a post about this sooner, but I came up with it about a week ago. So please share this, even if you're not disabled, because there are tons of people I know who are stuck in their houses because they can't get around in the snow. A pack of zip ties costs about $5, which compared to $200 knobby snow tires is a big save, and if you want to invest you could get colored zip ties.
I love all things frog, mushroom, rainbow high… I have Ehlers danlos syndrome and use both a rollator and a cane. Enby that is bad at making friends but likes to have them. I adore many cartoons but haven’t seen even more.
