Small study from a while ago... don't look at the buildings too hard it was a color study okkk
I've decided I'm going to start posting some of my art on here since I literally don't go on any other social media.
Here is my version of Emily Windsnap and Shona Silkfin from the Emily Windsnap series by Liz Kessler!
oc reveal I guess!! spidersona? maybe?? can I call her a spidersona if she doesn't have spider powers??? Idk still working on her design but her name is nellie <3
You guys are my night-owls, so you get this before Twitter and Insta do! It took me forever, but I'm so happy with how Juno's 2025 expression sheet came out! ^v^
I think this one does a WAY better job at capturing her shapes and her more accurate expressions. The last one was good, but she felt a bit softere and out of character. This one has that emo grit to it that she NEEDS π₯π₯π₯ it aint Juno without a lil grime to it y'know?
I also tried giving her some faint lips for the first time ever, and I really love it! It adds this small maturity to her that I think she's needed to really solidify her no-nonsense presence.
If you want to see the last one, here it is!
THANK YOU!! Yes, the GS Collectors Guide is the book I have! I appreciate the link to the collection of catalogs, my historical society had a few but not from the years I was looking for. I love looking at the old catalogs and mail-in forms anyways! Glad to know the kerchief was a pick and choose thing too, I thought as much. I was going to pick a yellow one for my uniform because it seems like a classic color for a gs uniform. Very glad that people still are interested in old girl scout stuff!!
Hey are you actually interested in the history of Girl Scout uniforms because man oh man do I have some resources for you.
Yes. Yes I am. I dug through three whole boxes of girl scout stuff in my historical society's attic. I'm planning on doing an exhibit of the uniforms they have at some point. I haunt their attic for free.
Seriously though any resources would be helpful!! When looking online I found pretty much just summarized short versions of the history of GS uniforms from 1920-1960, nowhere near enough. However in my historical society's attic they had a book meant for collectors, and it had every badge and uniform and rank, and they were organized precisely by year which was quite a relief when putting together my 1939 GS outfit. But! That's the most I've found. One thing I haven't been able to find out is why some scouts had red kerchiefs, and some scouts had yellow ones. Doesn't seem to be because of rank, is it just troops' choice like the crest???? Idk if anyone can help me answer that one it'd be much appreciated lol
she/her β‘ 21 β‘ artist, always sfw!! currently stuck in a spider-man phase :/
