Bucky is immediately on edge from the dark, feral look in Steve’s eyes. Without warning, Steve grabs her by the upper arm, dragging her over to the sofa, and yanking her down to lay over his lap. She’s too shocked for anything to come out of her mouth except for an indignant little shriek.

“If you want to act like a little brat,” Steve growls, “Then I’m sure as shit gonna treat you like one.” He looks up at Bucky, who is still standing in the middle of the living room. “How many, Buck?”
