Æthelflæd is such an inspirational historical figure that her story doesn't deserve to be told in the shadow of Uhtred, Alfred, Edward, and Sigtryggr.
Æthelflæd deserves her own TV show and I would love if Millie Brady played her again because she did a brilliant job in The Last Kingdom.
The bond between a girl and her favorite fictional man? That shit’s toxic, but in the best way. It’s this messed-up, all-consuming obsession where she’ll go to war for a man who doesn’t even exist—like, literally fight someone for talking shit about him. She knows he’s a red flag with legs, but she’s ready to unpack his trauma and let him ruin her life, because he gets her in ways real guys never could. He’s everything she wants and everything she should probably stay the hell away from, but fuck it. It’s not about logic; it’s about the fantasy of someone who’s so broken, they’d burn the whole world down just to love her.
It’s painful, because she knows he’ll never be real, but that doesn’t stop her from falling harder every damn time she opens the book, watches the show, or reads another fanfic. And yeah, it hurts like hell, but it’s a beautiful kind of hurt. The kind that makes her want to scream and cry and laugh all at once.
Because no real guy could ever compare to that kind of perfectly fucked-up perfection. (And cause he will fuck you till you can't think straight)
Can someone make an edit where Joey is with Ariana Grande's ponytail? I'm trying to see something

I just watched The Bikeriders and I'll say: I have A LOT to talk about this movie, I might go into one of my rants about it and toxic masculinity and just the overall male need for connection and the struggle against hegemonic culture in capitalism
Plus, there's so much depth in Benny's character and his relationship with Johnny and Kathy, and he barely even appears!!!
And Kathy, I love how unromanticized her story was.
Johnny and his desperation to be what Benny was effortless
The Vietnam War and its impact on a subculture as a demonstration of how deep cultural hegemony and capitalism can affect peoples' lives
It's amazing really
Gladiator II is definitely one of Scott’s weaker works..
but on the other hand: name another Ridley Scott film starring sweaty Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal in leather skirts - I’ll wait
anyways jax teller is the type of man to go to the premiere of the blair witch project in 1999
being in a small fandom is like being given a bone, chewing on it until you're done with it, burying it in your backyard, and then digging that same chewed up bone months later to continue chewing on it, and then the cycle just repeats.
this is especially true for small fandoms that you know won't be getting any new content, so you just have to consume the content you've already consumed thousands of times before.
