season 2 of severance is so wild, first they go outside and now we found out that one of the guys used to have books in his home
THE PITT AYESHA HARRIS as Dr. Parker Ellis -> 1x14 // 1x15
the zoom-in was so funny tho #StandingOnBusiness
being a nat stan is like…. seeing this amazingly complex character with more baggage than you can imagine for the first time and thinking “wow i really love her and i can’t wait to see more of her! i’m so glad she survived!”
and then you watch her go through the nastiest most horrific shit past AND present day…THEN SHE DIES. and then you think “this cannot POSSIBLY get worse for me….she’s DEAD. she DIED when she FINALLY WANTED TO LIVE…VIA FENTANYL…WHEN SHE WAS CLEAN. HER DEATH WAS RULED AN OVERDOSE WHEN SHE WAS FINALLY CLEAN AND MAKING PEACE WITH HERSELF. HOW COULD THIS POSSIBLY GET WORSE FOR ME?”
and then season 3 comes out…and you’re forced to watch her younger self go through shit that SOMEHOW makes her HORRIFIC DEATH look PEACEFUL. she is FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE left and right and just when you think “okay this is the worst of it” IT SOMEHOW GETS WORSE.
anyways….safe to say we deserved the satisfaction of this episode. she finally caught a fucking win.
I like imagining the study group live reacting to my professors sometimes. As enrichment.
i love love LOVE how troy is always so excited to be in abed's documentaries and looks directly at the cameras pretty often--especially since abed doesn't like it when others do, but is soft enough for troy to let him be the exception. especially in the changnesia documentary ep (s4ep6) when troy is excited to be with annie as "partner and houlihan" he gives the camera a thumbs up--and abed, who is holding the camera, gives him a thumbs up back?!?!?!?
What’s crazy about Apple TV is that a chunk of the shows on there are about dystopian leadership filled with religious and corporate overtones IE “I pray to the founders…” “praise be to Keir…” and how keeping people in the dark and lying about their reality is the only way to have ultimate control over humans. And this comes from the most dominating tech company in existence. What’s terrible about this is that they are putting out the most interesting compelling and cinematic television there is right now. It’s very conflicting
there was something “poetic” about van surviving all these external forces that should have killed her, only to get cancer years later and be slowly dying from an internal one. just for the writers to say never mind and have her die from getting stabbed
i finally downloaded tumblr and i feel so stupid because i deleted it before because i thought the app was confusing. this shit isn’t confusing, it’s awesome
van palmer did not survive a plane crash, almost being burned alive in said crash, a wolf attack, more than a year in the wilderness, two winters there, their cabin burning down, cannibalism, hunting her teammates for dinner, shaunnibal lecter, CANCER and anything else i forgot to mention just to be killed by melissa fucking hat. god damn
something i appreciate about community's depiction of abed is how he's not only cool with physical affection from his friends, he's often the one who initiates it. he loves his friends, his friends love him and they enjoy being close. they find comfort in each other's presences. i feel like this sort of thing is rare in media featuring autistic characters idk it just makes me love him (+ the study group) more
