why does it get dark so early 😭 i need my daily sunlight but it’s dark outside when i finish my internship

i have a very chill semester so far, i’m more so busy with my internship + volunteer work

dissertation proposal: sent out

three papers worth 100% of my grade and three thousand words each: to be thought of at a later date

Morning rituals. Every morning J brings me a cup of coffee and we sit in bed and talk for a bit before the day starts. Then I go for a run, or read; shower, dress, sit at my desk and watch the goldfinches. These small acts keep me from untethering. With winter rolling around, the days being shorter, I am trying to enjoy every minute of sun I can get. Oh, and—I just finished reading The White Dress and it was absolutely stunning, so good I devoured it all in one sitting. A great way to start the last month of the year. 🕯✨

(from insta) my semester-in-review theme is made up of these swirling colors in a pattern inspired by @hayleyremdeart ‘s canyon theme early last year! .

the colors themselves are inspired by lorde’s melodrama, which i maaay have listened to a little obsessively over winter break. the colors on that album are GORGEOUS, and while i kinda veered off into my own thing, i really like the interplay of the dark blues and teals with the tans and reddish-browns 😍
