4: For my researching fellows, what are you researching on? If you’re not currently researching, what is the topic within your field that you’re most passionate about?

While I’m not actively researching this, I am passionate about Afrofuturism, more specifically black science fiction, and how it can be used to understand our past and reimagine a future for the black diaspora. Black women and black enby writers have always been so ahead of the game when it comes to this.

Also, I’m really into music of the black diaspora. Its forms, its histories, the dances created from it and vice versa, the music that has been birthed from movements.

It’s the first time I drink coffee since like 1 year!?!? (And it’s vegan and homemade and it tastes soooooo good!!!!) I’m really enjoying all the free time and the sunny weather :’) I still need to write three papers but I finished the first one yesterday :)

studied even more; went through notes and formula cards

tried to sleep early for my exam

16/100 days of productivity (02.07.2021)

took what felt like the longest exam of my life

i didn’t do that well, but i did better than last time 🌞

it made me extremely happy that the exam was over. on my evening walk, i was skipping and humming and dancing to the music over my earphones. i must’ve looked weird but i didn’t care at all. it’s been a while since i felt so alive, excited, and energized even though i was sleep-deprived 🌻 🌻 🌻

15.09.21// finishing up my conference powerpoint & script :) the conference is awfully organized tho, so i hope i’ll have time to familiarize myself with everything tomorrow!

about to start the second book of the poppy war trilogy after the conference - super excited for that :)

Finished the Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo in one sitting today, didn’t even notice the day go by. I looked out the window for one second, it was daylight and the next time I looked outside it was past midnight. Already got the next book on my kindle ready for tomorrow. Cant wait to see how the triology ends
