quirinahscreams picked up the habit from a class and used it mostly for measuring but it looks cool so it ended up sticking. It's like how people draw on grid or dot paper I'm also emotionally attached to my gray bg of a very specific hsb it's there so i can pick out colors and values easily but it does make some bright colors look way brighter the pains of relative color i guess. It's inescapable but a powerful weapon in the right hands it's one am. Me sleep
