My sibling is @newcomer-karp! They wanted me to join them cause they were tired of having to physically show me the cute pokemon posts on here and wanted to be able to send them to me directly...

I am a therapist in training! I attend Uni for my psych degree! My partner pokemon is Pippy the Chancy (the name made more sense when she was a happiny...but oh well). You are required to have a Chancy to apply for the psych degree, but I happened to already have her ;) She's my icon! In both the literal and blog way.

Yeah, most folk don't know it's not just mythos !! It's a fascinating condition for sure, and even moreso with weird forms like my own-- but I think it's neat and enjoy talking about it :}

It is funny but it's also kinda true-- normally I like to keep a human-like trunk instead of going 100% ... it looks very silly, but it means I keep my land-lungs (and arms, and size..), so it makes living on my own a lot easier XP

I doubt my grandparents had the foresight for that, tbh. They were ‘learn from what I do’ types. My grandma and grandpa were both pretty darn selfless too, and they struggle with similar things tbh.

Chief the Chansey, with his little Oddish passenger (they are inseparable… we’ve tried) are the clients!

Background: Chief was a medic in the pokewars of yore and belonged to my grandpa. He’s in my care now as my grandpa isn’t able to care for him. He’s not distrustful of humans really, more so he sees them all as in his care and can’t seem to submit himself to their care. He’s been pretty isolated and is mourning my grandmother and the loss of company of my grandpa/ loss of caretaking for him since he is in my families care now.

Breaking out of selfless habits in order to care for yourself or let others care for you can be tough, I've actually had that issue myself before when I get too into the zone. ^^"

Is there any specific habits that really stand out?

I’m of two minds about this bc on one hand there’s some vile villains that just strike me as like… doing bad things but not to the people they care about if that makes sense? But then why would you wanna be with someone that loves you but is vile outside of your relationship?

Yet… they get me sometimes I won’t lie!

Ah yes, saw something that reminded about the bizarre attraction to POS women characters in various works that happens. And not like... ones that can be reinterpreted as something decent or the like either. Fucking confusing to me.

(same thing happens with male characters to be clear, I'm just a lesbian so focusing on that part)

Sorry to hear it- can’t help but relate though. :’) Though as a matter of relating I can’t disclose why! Is that irony? I always struggle with the definition of irony.
