Hey guys, I wanna ask y'all a questionnnn.

What is your number 1 want and fear for Splatoon 4?

What is the number 1 thing you badly want for Splatoon 4 and what is your biggest fear for this game?

For me, my biggest want is a better story mode, both in terms of gameplay and story. I think something with the difficulty and intrigue of Octo Expansion, mixed in with the open areas of ROTM would be something truly fantastic. My least favourite parts of ROTM were the levels because they felt like Octo Expansion lite and didn't do anything to impress me, but i LOVEDDD exploring the hubs and finding things in those areas. I hope we get something along the lines of Mario 64 or Sunshine in terms of level design where you get to explore big areas and accomplish goals in any way you want to with your abilities and weapons. Also if you've been on my blog for more than 10 minutes then you would know that i have said a lot of negative shit when it comes to the stories of these games (mainly Splatoon 2 for.... you know...) I really do want an actual STORY! With character GROWTH! AGENCY! CHANGE! PROGRESSION! IN THE STORY! NOT IN OUTSIDE SOURCES!!!! PLEASE!?! I don't want "oh no! this thing is gone! go get it!" AND THAT'S IT! DON'T DO THAT AGAIN!

My biggest fear is that Splatoon 4 will be a giant reboot to the franchise and not include ANY characters from the three games. One of the great things about Splatoon is that it's a growing and changing world, when a year passes in our world, a year passes over there, so I'm worried that they may just drop it and try to have a fresh start. Which i wouldn't like, i would like a refresh in terms of gameplay and aesthetic sure, but not the world... I wanna see old favourites and the Idols back, please. I know deep down they won't get rid of all the characters as that would break their established rules but, seeing the Grand Fest and how climatic it felt is giving me some worries in my brain.

If this is the final time we see these guys and they confirm that for Splatoon 4 we won't see them, it will impact my excitement of the game greatly.

I do want new characters and new experiences, no shit, but don't fully drop the characters people have grown to love for years and years.

i hate to just repost things but. this is so beautiful to me. and i need everyone to see it. they're getting married... waow...
