Isn't like there was a moment in which AFO tried to steal OFA but the will thing rule prevented it. All the times he failed on steal the quirk it was because it was already passed to someone else and the previous user was running on the embers.

The only time something like this this happens is when Nine tried to steal the quirk from Deku in the movie, yet Nine interpret it as lack of starage space in his own copy (for obvious reasons he's not aware of the existence of the vestiges).

I feel this is kind of a plot hole unless I'm missing something.

This is a question that I have never seen before so may give some reason why I think he might have done it: One is that "Life Force" Quirk may be reaching it's end. You're half right. All For One's body was failing, both in lifespan and function, because extensively damaged by All Might. So damaged that not even "Super Regeneration" couldn't fix him and he had to be on constant life support. And it was stated by Garaki that All For One was having trouble with Quirks of the newer generation. That he had a harder time controlling the more complex Quirks. Both of those could be a factor. That All For One wanted an immortal body to rule the world forever, giving and taking whatever Quirk he wanted. However, the successor plan was in motion decades before his injury and there wasn't anyone who was a threat to his empire. The real reason was because he wanted to use Tomura's hatred to get "One For All". "One For All" was annoying at first, but was becoming a major problem to All For One, to the point that it ended up killing him. He couldn't beat the person who had it and he couldn't take it either. So he wanted to build up and use Tomura's hatred to take "One For All", finally ridding him of the biggest obstacle in his path.

Horikoshi is always involved in the movies production in more or less degree, as a consultant for the story despite he doesn't get credit in the script writing, and doing character designs and he does the promo Volume that is gifted to the people that go to the cinema.

Heroes Rising in particular seems to be the one movie he contributed the most, as we know the overall plot is based on a discarded ending he had for the main series. And he did an origin chapter for Nine, something no other movie villain has.

Slice being betrayed by men is something HK put in the volume extras despite that info isn't present in the movie itself.

As you didn't see the movie let me explain this quick: Slice and especially Mummy don't get much real exposition about their past in the movie, as the plot gives more attention to Nine and Chimera.

Like I said my own interpretation based on the few info we got is that Slice trust and admire Nine because other mens in her life he views her with different eyes and help Slice to find a new porpuse, also giving her the opportunity to discorver her own strength and also meet people she can trust.

Looking at the characters pages in the Volume Rising extras, I notice an interesting detail about Slice's background.

Now I'm aware this is a rough translation by google, but it's interesting that Horikoshi explicitly describes Slice as being used by "men".

Which could also connect with this panel from Nine's origin backstory, in which Slice is seen lying on the floor of a destroyed apartment looking totally defeated and helpless.

Which also makes me wish we had more context about Slice relationship with Nine and the rest of the crew.

There's a lot of potential to developed their relationship there.

But an important note: I don't see Slice devotion to Nine and his ideals as romantic, not at all like much people like to interpret just because she's a woman. I feel that kinda goes against her characterization, considering Nine probably was the first man she ever trust but unlike others he wasn’t a lover or anything, but a savior and a true friend/family.

Horikoshi also says on Slice character page that Nine asked her about her quirk first and he values the name of it over actual names (which btw adds to Nine's own characterization considering he doesn't have a real name). I like to think it might be one of the reasons of why Slice trust so much on Nine's vision for the world, as he probably give a new meaning to her life other than being a pretty face and help her to value her own power.

Wish the whole chapter was just about them, so we could see more of their life together. Unlike the movie here we can see them in casual clothes.

Also this chapter shows again how much Chimera, Slice and Mummy care about Nine.

Can you describe how exactly Izumi scars look? Cause right now I imagine her looking like Maki from JJK in terms of scar tissue (and in the sense the scars are an aesthetic).

Of course Mizunami would love every single scar in Izumi, and probably think that makes her more perfect and autentic than any other woman.

I imagine a scene when she opens about her insecurities about her body to Mizunami, and she probably wears a lot of layers of clothes first to cover as much scar tissue as possible.

Instead of giving a verbal response, Mizunami starts taking off his own clothes (and Izu gets a bit shocked an embarrased for obvious reasons) and when he finally takes off his shirt Izu understands what he wanted to show.

Mizu's torso is also covered by years of all kind of scars product of being the member of a gang who got in constant fight with other villains, heroes or the police. He got a lot of cut scars, burns and even bullet scars.

But that doesn't matter to him and he tells Izumi with a lot of confidence that scars are cool and the most real proof of how badass they can be.

That would be the moment in which Mizunami gets into Izumi's heart, and she probably hugs him totally red and dizzy (because after all Cider is shirtless and she probably is getting her face pressed into his pecs). A cute moment of intimancy.

Can't stop thinking about a CiderDeku focused AU in which our favorite seltzer boy and Midoriya work as part time vigilantes together.

And since Izuku has a fire bending quirk in this AU, the contrast of his quirk and Cider's (who is named Mizunami Himura in this story) make people start calling them "Steam-Bow couple" as their unofficial vigilantes name.

Still thinking about the details of how they started their crusade together as vigilantes, but I like that idea I mention in other post about Mizunami saving Izuku from Bakugou when both of them still were in Aldera and Midoriya was around 13. Mizunami still was the leader of the Cider House gang (and maybe two years older than Midoriya) but later he left the group because he felt his members started to be way too problematic and getting in worse situations with civilians and heroes, something he didn't like because while Mizunami commited crimes like robbery he never tried to harm innocent people during his operations.

Besides he started feeling for Izuku after protect him from Bakugou, and since Izu wanted to stay with him after the incident they both start to get along and quickly became good friends, Mizu also helping Izu no being so shy and insecure about himself due the years of bullying.

He start helping Izuku to train his quirk and body during his free time, which served a lot for Midoriya to get in good shape and develop a fight style for the years to come as he still intented to apply to at least a low-middle tier hero school (and this will became important later).

I like to think the incident with the Sludge monster from chapter 1 was what caused a twist on their relationship, as unlike what happens in canon here when both of them are attacked by the Slime that escaped from A.M, Izuku and Mizunami give the monster a big surprise because they were able to fight back.

Slime turned to be quite vulnerable to water and fire combined, which allowed Izu and Mizu to restrain him in a bottle of soda and left him for the heroes finish the job later, as they run totally excited by the experience.

After escape and being safe, Izuku suddenly jump to the arms of Mizunami and they started kissing out of the excitement of the moment. When they calm down both smiled and since that moment they became officially boyfriends, and decide they would have more moments like this in the future so they will start fight criminals together.

Also the incident also give Izuku the final confidence boost he always needed and when Bakugou provoked him after school trying to make fun of Mizunami who was there for walk along Izuku to his home, Midoriya decided he had enough when Katsuki insulted his boyfriend.

So what happened next is that Izuku deep breath and expelled a big green fire ball from his mouth, which resulted in Bakugou getting a lot of first degree burns and loosing his eyebrows (something for what he would be mocked a lot later).

Mizunami used his water quirk to extinguish the fire over Bakugo's clothes who is totally terrified, then Mizu and Izuku laugh at him take a picture with their funs for future reference and run away together.

CinderIzu is great and Cinder as a character was ignored, slept on ...bc villain stans are predictable into hot villains like dabi and shig(yes, shig is hot even in his possum way) and ...damn this fandom waste a good opportunity for a ship.

Tbh I think at that stage if Gojo knows about all the drama it could actually be detrimental for Geto's plan. He's not quite mature yet...

Which makes me wonder if Suguru would feel all that comfortable dating Gojo considering he would be an adult in the body of a teen again. You know despite he obviously still loves him and all seems rainbows and flowers at first, it probably would be a little akward situation realize everyone regresed to a past self but in Geto's case he has literally a life worth of experience.

I can see Suguru feeling a bit alone again for pretty different reasons.

My guess is probably he could request to talk with Tengen (I don't remember if they actually can do it all time but whatever) and ask him for more info on Kenjaku and such. He probably would be one of the only (if not the only) persons to understand Suguru position with the time travel and such.

And Suguru probably would wait a few years to reveal the truth. I think it would be for the good in the end, even if Saturo will feel a bit betrayed at first for being excluded.
