There's a thud on the other side of the door. Archie raises an eyebrow, but decides not to inquire.

Crisis somewhat averted, though? Not that he lied about anything, just-- He always feels so guilty whenever people recognize him. Fair enough, though. He did some awful things. "That's jus' how I was born. I'm a merfolk. An' I'm no' the only one either, not from the merfolk nor from whatcha call supernatural people."

"…I know, I--"

A groan, and he let himself fall down, his back pressed on the door. Being worried about a guy who almost ended the world and regretted his action was quite hypocritical for someone working for Guzma, huh…? Especially if he was dragged in there like most of the Skulls.

"…and, uhm.

The… tail, then?"

"Po Town's Hero? That's where we are now, I guessin'?"

He forgot to ask Plumeria where she had taken him town wise, he just realized. Oh well.

"Gotta say, yer real' strong. A real powerhouse from what I've seen." Archie slowly sits up a little more, leaning against the backboard of the bed.

“I got another bottle of painkillers somewhere. I ain’t worried. I wouldn’t give it to ya if I didn’t want to.”

Ree scratches the inside of their wrist, keeping their eyes down and away. They’re awkward and anxious, and it… sucks.

Rotates merfolk powers...

I feel like there's slight differences between different types of merfolk ofc but here's what Archie (and most merfolk) can do:

Manipulate water; move it around, levitate it, increase or decrease it's temperature, turn it to ice, evaporate it etc

Being immune to having his mind read by Psychics, be it Pokémon or people

Telekinesis.

Becoming invisible for a limited amount of time.

Shapeshift between forms (human and merfolk)

Enhanced voice / 'singing' capabilities. Think sonic screeches and siren song. Siren song gives them the ability to manipulate people's thoughts and actions through words (or singing if you're extra like that I guess). Most merfolk agree to never use that ability, and it's highly frowned upon in most circles. Merfolk who regularly travel to the depths have build up a tolerance / resistance for it though. (I HC the depths of the ocean are extremely hazardous / unfriendly and therefore super dangerous. Doesn't stop some brave souls from wandering there though.)

Enhanced senses underwater.

Can understand Water-types

They're one of the slower healers among supernatural beings. It makes venturing into dangerous situations extra risky.

Guzma is gonna kill him if he's caught saying Plumes. But it's just a fun nickname... Anyway, back to the issue at hand. Injured guy with a fishtail stuck in Plumeria's bath tub (him), and this new person. At this rate the whole of Team Skull will be aware of merfolk.
