i wanted to make an oc ask game 😋 things i like to ask people abt their characters:

are they associated with a certain color? what color do they wear the most?

what sort of music would they like? have you thought about what genres or bands do they lean towards? do they have a favorite song?

weapon of choice? any particular reason they chose their weapon?

how crafty/resourceful are they?

how do they typically dress? does their wardrobe lean more towards practicality or aesthetics?

how do they wear their hair? do they care a lot how their hair looks?

favorite animal? why?

do they have a nickname? who gave it to them? if it's not derived from their real name, what's the story behind it?

favorite food? least favorite? are they a picky eater? do they have any dietary restrictions?

if they wear jewelry, what kind? do they prefer silver or gold? do they have a favorite gem?

what do they have in common with you? how are they different? would you get along with them?

how long have they been around? do you know their birthday? is their birthday the day you made them or another day? what do they think of celebrating birthdays?

what languages do they speak? how fluently?

are they any good with numbers?

how big or small is their family? who did they live with growing up? do they live with anyone now?

do they have any pets? what do they call their pets?

how did they spend their summers/free time as a child?

their opinion on lying, stealing, and killing?

are they quick to anger? what sets them off?

if applicable, can they drive? if they have their own, what color is their vehicle? is the inside neat and tidy, or a mess?

how would you describe their voice? can they sing?

Ok, erm…

1.) Getting reviews for my books. If someone has a single kind thing to say about my writing, I will not shut up about it for the next week.

2.) Baking. I love making (and eating) sweets. I would eat nothing but desserts if I could.

3.) Musicals. My favorite one that I’ve seen live is Hamilton, but I also love EPIC and Hadestown.

4.) Mythology of any kind, but especially Greek mythology.

5.) Finding new books to add to my reading list. My reading list for this year is growing faster than I can finish books hehe

Humanity is falling... Falling...

Fallen.

Invaded, perhaps, but this isn't the cause. Aliens and monsters came years later, decades after the last normal human breathed their last sigh. Yes, normalcy... a concept many created, just like the concept of equality.

You see, I am the last human. I am eternal. Not by choice, of course, but curses are interesting. To never die until you find love... but to never feel until your final moments... two separate curses that clash entirely. This clash brought upon me my immortality.

I have long forgotten my name, my age, my family... and I have long ceased to feel. Emotions... feelings... all concepts pointless to hold on to. Aliens speak a language foreign to me, and monsters can not pierce my immortality. A shame... I don't keep a standard journal, as paper was lost decades ago, along with humanity. My humanity was gone before that.

What is there to do, you may wonder... Nothing. Drawing, perhaps, but there's nothing to draw on now. Trees have overtaken buildings, and they regenerate damage. A sad truth, you may note. The Earth grew stronger when humans fell. Back in 2023... after the pandemic... it was brought up, Global Warming, but not a focus.

Humans would be around if they weren't so greedy.

Sometimes I mentally rant about things. Sometimes those things are amusing.

Like I was thinking about an assignment that is due tomorrow, and I'm having this mental conversation between my brain and the voice of the professor that the class is for, as one does. So keep in mind that this is not an actual conversation, just mental rant based on something my professor has said.

Professor: "Worldbuilding isn't the same as setting."

Me: "Well if I want to steal this setting from myself, I need to know where in the world of my story it is!"

Professor: "You can't-"

Me: "I give myself permission to steal it. It is my creation. You can't stop me from yoinking the setting created for a short story that may or may not exist in the world that my eventual novel exists around. Therefore, I can steal it, and therefore, I need to know where the heck in my world this is. And for that, I need to worldbuild."

So yeah, I mentally talk to my professors in my brain. I am not delusional enough to think that this conversation happened. (I have had mental conversations that later happened in life. The deja vu from that was weird because I could have sworn we had that conversation already like two- What do you mean this is the first we've talked about this? Which has genuinely been a mental reaction to something before. Sure it will happen again.)
