You’re allowed to say no.

To those who say that love is a “weakness”, I scoff in their faces.

Love - be it platonic, familiar, romantic or the million other forms it may take - is what gives us strength. It’s what keeps us from giving up. It’s what has us striving and struggling and clawing our way through a bad day. It makes us do crazy things. It makes us produce miracles. It gives us something to fight for. It gives us purpose. It pushes us to be better people, to be people who deserve to be loved. Love makes the impossible possible.

Love is what reminds me everyday that I have something worth living for.

So to those who say that love is a “weakness”, well, they may be alive, but they are not living.

Although Vincent van Gogh is now known and loved by countless people, he didn't have an ounce of fame while he was alive. Starry Night is one of the most famous paintings ever, but at the time, van Gogh called it a failure. In the same way, you have no concept of just how loved you truly are. You're good at looking out for others, and you have a vibe that draws people to you. You are a wonderful addition to this little world, and you don't even see it. But I hope you do someday.
