it’s all!! about!! Redemption! People!!!!!
I love you, dad. I’m sorry for mistreating you when I did. I’m sorry for not spending time with you like I should have. Time is going by so slowly but no matter how slow I know it will not be enough. I’m thinking about recording our conversations together, I need to savor your words and your stories; have something more to remember you by than the last few months, more than your shallow gait and near-empty eyes. Your neuropathy is affecting your memory, and I know you’re guessing you won’t be moving at all by September. You are one of my best friends, a soul that I do my best to hold close to, you share my passion for theatre and for music, for redemption arcs and integrity. For the ability to love and be loved in return. You taught me what I should look for in a relationship with how dearly you loved mom. And how to have a good work ethic with how hard you worked every single day of your life, being a parent to your own siblings at the mere age of 5, never resting for a day, despite the 80 hour weeks and never-ending challenging trials one after the other. You always believed in me and my interests, you inspire me to do my best and encourage me to grow my talents and reach my potential. For your sacrifices and everything else I am so incredibly grateful. I hope you get relief from your pain at least for tonight. You’re pretty swell dad, and from me to you- you did good. I’ll see you tomorrow, p.s. I made pumpkin chocolate chip muffins the way you like them, if you can keep some food down I’d love for you to try one or three. I love you, -R.

Small physical things that give your characters personality
How they smile
What their “tell” is for lying
Posture
Volume of speech, if they’re verbal
Nervous tics
How much eye contact do they make
In a group conversation, how close do they stand to others? Are they off to the side just listening and occasionally speaking or are they right next to people?
When standing, what do they do with their hands? Talk with their hands, cross their arms, put hands in pockets, prop up against the wall, etc
The sound of their footsteps
Nonverbal greetings: do they wave, nod, hug, glare, punch, high five, something else?
How do they get others’ attention? Raise hand, clear throat, etc
that and the fact that I only want to listen to the YMCA song
having knowledge of music theory is so weird. I listen to songs now and I’m like “I IV iv bII ii07 I7. spiccy” or “oooooohhhhshiittttt that’s some SAucy modal mixture” and then my friends tell me that I’m not allowed to choose the music anymore
